Rattlecage has always had a special place in my heart, probably 1 of the 1st sets I golded out, like it on a magplar, good to see it used!

Rattlecage? An entire 5 piece set can be matched by a single skill slot or potion. Honestly, that's a terrible choice. Major Brutality/Sorcery is one of the easiest buffs to get in the game - to waste FIVE PIECES on it? It's almost as if you're trolling.

love Rattlecage on my magdk back in the day. was a perfect fit back then.

See that’s why I prefer destro bombing but it’s definitely just preference as there are different ways to bomb. But i bomb with vd and mech with destro instead, simply because its more damage but also you can run spell pots for sorcery and if you put an escapist pot on your back bar as you are doing your bombing rotation you will proc cc immunity off gcd. I also run steel tornado over the execute morph because the extra damage is not needed so might as well min/max on that radius so it pairs up nicely with the destro radius

I always run rattlecage on blade. Only way to buff damage reliably without 2H. Good call

There's always the old school spell power potion, War Maiden, Bal, with VD combo. You get your major buffs without exposing yourself PLUS 600 wep/spell dmg from War Maiden for your bombing skills. You can take it a step further and use seething rage to even boost your wep/spell dmg. Te total boost of War Maiden, spell power potion, and seething fury is well over 1.5k. Makes for VERY big bombs. You can also switch out War Maiden for Dark Convergence to range bomb as well with that mages guild skill (rune something). The pro from DC makes up for what you lose from War Maiden. I'm not a big fan of DC but it works extremely well if you're just trying to go for emperor/farm AP all day since you barely die so you don't have to travel as much as you can stand on top of a keep wall just bombing zergs over and over again who try to attack your gate. All of which is probably better than Rattlecage... Man bombing with rattlecage takes me back to like 2016 ESO bombing. You're retro bombing lol

It’s actually more expensive since immovable pots cost more, which is why I prefer to get immovable through poisons you get 8 per craft.

You can do better, try night mother's gaze. With that your burst damage is 6237 and 28k pen, 124% crit damage and 48% crit chance. The rotation is a bit harder since you need a few more things to get that burst. Also, use immovability pots :/

I don't see any point in using rattlecage. You can get the 5 piece with 1 ability or item.

I mean, you already said the one problem with this build. There's way too many other ways to get that buff to waste a 5 piece on it, making your Bombs weaker than they can be. Better off using the old school clever alchemy and getting that buff from a pot, thus increasing your damage more than it would be with rattle. If you're running with a group, one of your DK's should be supplying that buff as well. Edit: that buff is needed and should be used for sure. But a buff like that, that has many other ways to get it, isn't ideal to get it from a 5 piece. If it was a buff that isn't easily acquired other ways it would make sense.
