thats actually a convenient idea but wont defeat the idea of bidding wars, people wont need to pay higher bid to a specific trader if everyone can access it anywhere

Andy Malunes it also stops players from taking over the game economy. If you let players spam in a mass market, few players end up extremely wealthy, controlling the market. Usually it’s hackers that actually take over the game. Many mmo’s have suffered this!

Why is every Guild trader booth I go to is always blank? how do you see the items for sale?

Great video! Would it be possible to talk about value's of items like purple, yellow etc and how someone can find out the sale value of those items so they don't get ripped off or lose money? Coming from Runescape and the grand exchange I'm used to the game automatically setting a sale price for me.

Hail The Chief Master Merchant (MM) is an addon for PC that gives you information about how an item has been selling in a guild store, so you can list it with an appropriate price. If you're on console, I'm not sure how to help you, besides telling you to google it.

Selling goods has been tough lately due to all the goodies being given away during the 3rd anniversary double XP thing going on. However, being a crafter/trader, I have found that the best way to know what to sell something at is to look for it on sale. If I have a kuta I wish to sell, I'll look for it on the market. If you really want to move your goods, sell it for just under market value. I have made quick cash this way while seeing others with their stuff on sale for weeks. There are great trade guilds out there, find one without dues (yes they exist) and sell sell sell.

I have a question. I type in "motif" in search at a guild trader. Says there are over 1000 matches yet nothing at any level or quality shows up. Why? Please don't say nobody is selling them, because people are always selling them.

Never mind I figured it out how to buy without joining. It does not work using a xbox 360 controler. When I use a keyboard the search feature works.

I'll be honest I've played a lot of MMOs in my time. And I'll be honest Elder Scrolls is the worst when it comes to the auction house I have ever seen. I have to traipse my ass right across Tamriel just a find a stack of spiders egg that is an affordable price if the system is not broke don't fix it especially with this convoluted mess I honestly think it would have been quicker just to have farmed them which negates point of having an auction house to begin with

I as a new player will not be resubbing to this game fuck that. So for me its onwards looking for that game that ticks the boxes. This was very helpful. I had seen in chat all kinds of ads for different guilds and guild types. One question about guild stores and guild traders. If I were to join a guild with a store and trader, is there a limit on how much stuff I can put in? You mentioned you were in 3 trade guilds because you had so much stuff. So from that I am assuming there is a limit as to how much a person can put into the store?

Still 100% relevant tho. The guild trader system hasn't changed. And tons. Basically the bidding process is weekly. At the beginning of the week, the guild with the highest bid on a specific guild trader gets the trader for the week until the next bididng process

This is an old video but hopefully you could answer my questions: My listings on my Guild Store, are they also listed on our Guild Trader? Or must I go to our Guild Trader and list separately? And furthermore: I am in multiple guilds with updated MOTDs which identify who/where our Guild Trader is this week. However, in the slot where it says Guild Trader it says "None Hired" ...is this a known bug or do we not have a Guild Trader? Most of my guilds host raffles which I enter but it still says None Hired. Thank you in advance. I'm not sure why but I cannot seem to find answers anywhere, even when I ask in-game I don't get any replies. I just can't wrap my head around how this works and ESO does a poor job with introductions.

this video is still 100% correct. nothing has changed regarding guilds, the stores, and the traders. - Yes they are if your guild has a trader. As i explain in the vid, the trader just makes your store public facing. - if it says none hired then your guild lost the trader Hope i could help :)

Hmmm, new ESO player here. I’m a bit boggled why they require you to join a guild to sell things to other players... What’s the angle there? How is this concept beneficial to players as opposed to a public market that the entire server has access to at all times??

You can still make transactions to other players one on one. You can type in chat about what you want to buy or sell and other players will approach you.

Well whether or not its "worth it" varies on the individual, and whether or not you want to be the time and work in to build and run a guild. It's definitely not an easy task, but i will say as a GM, it is nice to be able to build a guild of like minded individuals.

Those are NPC guilds, they're just questlines that offer skill lines

i knew eventually ESO would have something I did not like an yea...really REALLY not liking the AH available to all players of the same faction. So unless you join a "trading" guild your kind of screwed then? In terms of selling your items to playing or making money? Or can you do ok say once we join your guild selling to guild members?

Basically a trading guild is the best way to go, but i think one can do ok on our guild store. I am hoping that my guilds store does increase in activity as i would like to get us a guild trader near the new player areas. But in order for that to be successful, people need to post on our store :) Sorry i missed this comment btw, dont know why i didnt get a notification for it

The items either cant be sold or theyre in your craft bag and you need to pull them into your inventory

So I just started playing this game. I want to join a pve guild but I don't even know where to begin. IS there anyway to get a list of active guilds while you're in the game and try sending a message to the GM for an invite? I live in Europe but only speak English and Japanese. I can't just join any guild or I might not understand the language they're speaking. It's really frustrating to try and get pve material knocked out that requires a group with out being able to find an English speaking guild or any guild for that matter. (Also they need to get rid of the trading guild idea and just make an Auction House).

You have to look in group chat in game, on the forums or on reddit. Tons of guilds post recruitment messages and youll be able to find the one that's right for you!

I am so new to this game and all I enjoy doing is collect things. Like a hoarder. Well I have no clue what anything is worth nor did I even think about it. (I just collect). Someone told me that Kuta is very valuable. I'm like 🤔 I think I have 1. So I check I have 63 kuta & I have no clue what it does or even how to sell it. Every time I go to a guild it says you can't trade with them 🤷🏼‍♂️ so I keep grinding/collecting. Maybe one day I'll figure out a use.

+Steve 71 yes! You go to the bank, click guild store, and there is a drop down menu to select your guild. If you hover your cursor over the guild name in that menu it'll also show you the traders location

What are Guild Halls and how do I get there? Do I have to "find' it?

A guild hall is a central "house" for your guild, but its just a player's house that they allow their whole guild to use. To get to your guild's house, usually theyll have something about it in the Message of the Day with who owns it. simply right click that players name and click "visit primary residence"

Housing you simply just need to talk to the housing NPC inside of the bank in your faction's earlier zones, so like Daggerfall, Davon's Watch, and Vulkhel Guard. He'll give you a quest and if you follow the quest youll get your first little apartment. all other houses are bought through the crown store with either gold or crowns

If you don’t already know by now,go to social then Email it will be in the list and the item will be attached.But there is a time limit to collect the item I can’t remember how long you get but I notice your post is 4 months old so it will have ran out by now

Unfortunately without your guild backing you to get a trader, there's not much you can do. They have to WANT the trader - it cant just be the GM

@@dottzgaming and unfortunately that's what it is. I just put 50k into the bank to help get a trader. We have a 3000 initial bank due with a 1000k weekly due. Never used to be like that but people kept wiping our bank. I dont know what to do anymore. I really want this to be a successful trading/ pve guild. Any suggestions?

You need to restrict item withdrawal access to a small group of people - only those you trust. Never allow anyone to withdraw gold but YOU. Also, i hope you mean 1k weekly due and not 1000k (aka 1 million) :P My recommendation would be mandate enough to start with generating 100k+ per week from your members. That's enough to afford a SUPER remote trader, but at least youll have one. Over time as it grows and people sell more/give more to the bank, youll be able to start affording traders in better spots.

@@dottzgaming yes only 1000 gold per week lol. We have it set so that everyone can deposit gold but no one, save my friends, can mess with the money. The store is free to all members so anyone can sell. What did you mean mandate enough to get 100k? There is just no one donating or paying a due for bank access. Should I change the dues to include the store?

You need to be generating enough gold between sales, dues, etc to make sure that your bank has at least 100k per week so you can maintain a trader. Any less and you wont be able to afford a trader. And if no one is donating, then no trader unfortunately. If you want that trader per week, youre going to have to REQUIRE dues from your members or they have to find a different guild. The hardest part of the trading guild process is getting it started.

Wish there was a AH for simplicity reason. Joining guilds to trade is not efficient.

The trader system is the worst part of this game; it is designed to exploit new players who don’t know how much things are worth. You have to use a 3rd party website to search for the lowest price, it’s insane.

There are probably 10,000 guilds out there - good luck guessing which one is going to win the weekly bid in an area on a trader, just so you can sell anything. Its pathetic and truly astonishing anyone even bothers to play at all.

this guild trade system makes small guilds pretty much none existent since selling for money is impossible if you just want to say play with a group of 10 friends but still want to use an AH system. i honestly do not see how this has stayed a system in this game.

Well you need to meet a person in game that is in a guild you want to join. they will invite you to the guild using your @ name

if you accidentally bid on a trader, youll get your money refunded at the end of the week if you lose the bid. if you win the bid, youll get the trader for the week

you dont have to go to the bank to check, just go to the guild menu. but if youre asking about accessing the guild store, yes go to a bank denoted by the chest in game

I’m deleting this dumb game, it’s so evil, the guards, I have no gold, I have nothing, it’s not fun, no fun guilds, no fun role play, boring quests, useless treasure and crappy costumes
