Aaah........here it is. ( I knew you'd get this up & available to watch, thanks Rob. ) That sure is a tedious ( and risky ) way of inletting shields, but the result is fantastic. Great work Evan.
Thanks Evan for taking the time to share your magic!
I had no idea how much work, went into setting the sheild, very impressed.
So Evan is besides being an excellent knife crafter also a cinematographer!
Nothing looks better than old Westinghouse micarta.
Thank you for sharing this.
Anyone else see the liner come loose from the scales at 33 min.when he tapped on it?
very cool. love to know more abt the dremel jig he made. all good stuff thanks

You should make a plate for your shield something you can glue to handle that will keep from from going outside the lines
Evan how do you do them shields and still stay so icy???
What steel is this sheild made out of? I'm sure it's stainless but what kind? Thanks

It’s an alloy of meteorite and ferrous titanium.
Very cool! just a thought cant you melt the shield in?

@@bumstudios8817 Not on most cover materials. Wood and bone will char and G10 and micarta will burn and won't melt. impossible to do cleanly.
