Extra Tips and Tricks for Esmeralda Beginners: Improved and Updated for 2023! 1.) Move your mini map while using Esmeralda's ultimate, it will be easier to aim and hit enemies. (It takes a bit of practice, but you'll get used to it!) 2.) To make tip 1 more effective, I suggest making your mini map larger and slightly transparent by adjusting it in the settings! Not only will it make it easier to aim Esme's ultimate using the mini map, it will also make it easier move the map (especially if you have big fingers) and increase your map awareness! (Because it's larger!) 3.) Charging Esme's ult actually doesn't increase it's dmg, so don't charge it all the time! 4.) Since Esme's ult has short cooldown (because you build a lot of CDR), use it to clear minion waves faster and use it as dash skill when necessary! 5.) Use Purify if enemies has a lot of CC, Sprint if you need mobility for rotations, Flicker if you like having a dash skill, Aegis if you want more shield (Aegies Ignores Esme's Shield Limit btw), and Vengeance if the enemies have atk speed marksmen (like Moskov, Melissa, and Miya for example). 6.) Cut lanes if you need to rotate! If it's for helping the jungler invade the enemy jungler, helping your jungler when they're being invaded, or stealing enemy buffs when they're busy! 7.) If your lane (exp) is in bot lane in early game, try to help the jungler clearing red buff! But don't overstay there! You need to clear your minions and defend your lane! 8.) Don't clear jungle monsters in early game! Your jungler needs it and it doesn't provide you a lot of gold and exp! Instead wait for your minions because they give you more gold! 9.) In tip 8 I said don't clear jungle creeps right? But that doesn't mean all jungle creeps! You can clear the gold crab ONLY if your jungler is not taking it. If your jungler is taking it, don't steal it! You will only delay them, and that will make them lose in turtle fights! That increases your chances of losing! 10.) Moonton revamped the emblems, so you might be confused on which emblem you should use. I recommend Basic Common Emblem! It provides Esme with more hp and mana regen she needs in early game. It also fixes Esme's early game mana problems! I recommend buying 2 magic necklaces in early to provide you a lot mana regen. Btw this allows you skip Enchanted Talisman for defence items in early game. You still need Enchanted Talisman tho, just build it as a 2nd item later! 11.) Always observe your mana bar, just because you followed tip 6 doesn't mean you will have infinite mana! Keep that in mind so you won't run out of mana! 12.) Always keep track of skills that your enemies has used, it will help you a lot! 13.) Don't face enemies head on in early game. Always try to poke (Hitting enemies without hitting you) enemies in early game! This will lower their health and make it easier for you later to kill them! 14.) More magic dmg for Esme means more shield, so try to add some magic dmg to her build! Full Tank Esme is still a solid option! But it depends on the situation. 15.) Esme is versatile, meaning she can play in Exp, Mid, Jungle, Roam and even Gold lane! She may not be the best at the other roles, but it works when you're forced to adjust! (It happens a lot in SoloQ.) 16.) Esme is indeed versatile in roles, but also in builds! She can build full tank, hybrid, and full dmg! There's no best build for her, because it depends on the situation and your playstyle! So it's up to you to choose! 17.) Try to hit multiple enemies when using Esme's ultimate. It will generate a lot of shield for you to sustain more dmg! 18.) If you are going to use ult in close range, make sure the enemy has used up their CC skills, because your ult will be interrupted if not! 19.) How counter Dyrroth in early game? Just play safe and passive, freeze minions, zone Dyrroth and poke him when he gets near the minions. He will lose exp when you zone minions, Dyrroth also relies on an aggressive playstyle to win! By playing passive, he loses his snowball potential! 20.) Watch some Pros Esme Analysis videos (like Edward's Esme analysis) and Pro Esme player gameplays! (Like Valesmeralda for example).You will learn more about Esmeralda's playstyle and strategies! I hope you learned a lot from these tips! Like to my comment if you did :). When playing side lane esme , you should buy enchanted talisman instead of blood wings , and if you need you can change feather of heaven with some physical defense like thunder belt , radiant armour or brute force . Don't get me wrong , it's just my experience sharing with you ❤️.

Butchie Nairda Just use the second one I can't remember what it's called Btw in early game don't fight until u get ur core items just tower hug and clear minions if ur stringer in the early game against the player ur facing in ur lane u can harass the enemy

I used to play esme a lot and had always good game with her. But last night I was so shocked, I only got bronze. Thank god my team mates carried the game and didn’t bash me. She has turned so squishy and weak like 3 hits from layla and she’s dead. She’s supposed to be a tank-mage. I thought I was losing my mind until I’ve read the comments and realized I’m not the only one.

@@leviackerman7678 true. You never see any esme player getting mvp now. I think that says something. Moonton has greatly nerfed the old mages and overbuffed assassins and fighters now which is not fair as mages are already squishy in the first place. Supports can even hold their lanes longer than mages now.

I thought Esme was a broken hero before, she was so overpowered, shield thick af, but now she's so squishy, could easily be ganged up and killed by a Sun, so as an Esme main, I always configure the magic to physical balance within the opponents, but I'd normally just go with warrior boots, except if I'm in line with a Guinevere, then I use tough boots bless it with a roam benefit and you're good to go. My build Boots are optional (but I do get the mana boots sometimes instead) Enchanted talisman (A calamity reaper is crucial for her, it adds true damage and some mana, but I usually ditch it now especially if there's more damage dealer enemies) The breastplate? Makes her all hulky, defense stacks up overtime Oracle the most godly item to use for her, thickens shield, sustains it and adds magic defense too Brute force?/Dominance ice (but now I just love the brute force item, it's so useful for when you need to annoy a physical assassin, Dominance has more benefits but no shield Last is either blood wings or a holy crystal, blood wings provide a shield

i have the hero skin of her bcs of lucky just in 3x draws. she's not my main hero so when i learn to play her with the skin i got nervous & always got locked by the enemies (i am in the lower tier it's epic IV so most people play with no skins at all). Ended up got bronze medal :(

try my formula. Stay in lane (of course u can help mid if necessary) until u get 4 item. Boots, Enchanted Talisman, Reaper and 1 Tank item either Ice Dominance (if enemy damager is Phy) or Athena (if enemy damager is Mag). Once u get this 4 item, you can actively roam between your lane and mid lane/ turtle area.

try this tanky esme build: warrior/ tough boots, enchanted talisman, oracle, dominance ice, genius wand, blood wings emblem: mage emblem: mystery shop/ impure rage or support emblem: avarice (i prefer impure rage) pros: has 45% cd. it counters anti regen items because of oracle, it counters sustain heroes because of dominance ice, it counters burst heroes becauee of 2 defense items + blood wings. this build deals decent damage at the same time being tanky. con: a bit more expensive than other builds

U can use Support Emblems on her guys!

@@selesolux4418 CD reduction boots, enchanted talisman, brute force, dominance, oracle and magic crystal. But if the enemy is more magic damage. You can also change the magic crystal to radiant armor or athena. 2nd skill damge of esme is enough to kill enemy. And i use CD reduction boots, to make unli sheild..

@@HybridzVideo so its better to use s2 before s1? or s1 than s2 for cooldown reduction than pop s1 again. I was always under the impression s1 would be first than use s2 for cd & s2 only after use of s1. Okay i think im confusing myself haha. So s2 gives shield and s1 takes the shield for esm. I think i was always using the skills in reverse. She is by far my fav hero.

@@imclueless9875 Actually the usual Esme combo is S1> normal hit 2x > S2 > S1. Repeat. You need that 2x normal hit to ensure the timing to stack the shield
