Ben W speaking at 21st Grants Pass Oregon Roundup, that is all I know about this one except for the fact I really enjoy his speaks, he has quite a story plus a great message that is step based and he delivers it with humility and humor. This ends abruptly in the middle of a story, Im guessing the tape ran out, but all the stuff before then makes it a great listen.
You will notice a difference in the tone of the recording at about 45 min along, that was where the recorder flipped the tape and I think he did some adjusting at the time.

He has no right to tell people not to take anti-depressants. His opinion is not based in facts. He is supposed to carry the message, not play doctor. This, to me , is his ego deciding what we all should do. Bill W. suffered from depression for years. He even tried LSD to be rid of it. This is the 1st sobercast I'm giving a thumbs down to.

I completely agree. I’ve had two friends in sobriety with dual diagnosis of mental health , both heard podium gurus and unqualified medical advisers give a message not approved by AA and committed suicide. There is now an AA approved pamphlet on medication and mental health I urge sober cast to remove the speaker please? 🙏🏽🙏 may god bless us all I get the whole sponsorship thing but for me, my spiritual adviser has shown me the path to a spiritual awakening and I am confident to carry that message of recovery in the BB. Not to be confused with meetings today! My aim is to live in the middle of the triangle and studying medicine is not going to be on my agenda and I share my experiences. Depression and forms of mental illness require treatment as a diabetic requires treatment. There’s nothing gained by being on antidepressants. Gods in the guts 🙏🏽🙏
