With a mix of humor, wit and insight Anthony de Mello offers truly transformative wisdom. He discusses a shift in self-consciousness that gives permission to be conscious of oneself, so that one can be liberated and open to the depths of life. Such clarity and simplicity.... only when we can actually drop the illusion, misidentifications.... thankyou for this.

Anthony DeMello is a boon for us. He is one of Almighty's descension on earth to try and lift us out of ignorance.

De Mello was way ahead of his time. His words can set so many people free. I enjoy this with the mindfulness book 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels.

8:56 The minute that does change the way I think and feel: "happiness is uncaused." True happiness that is, or peace or love. It's natural to get upset every now and then, but, the real cause is identified, sooner rather than later, as stressful (and false) beliefs, not reality. Buddha points out: the root of sorrow is desire. I want X, because I believe X will make me happy. But, as Socrates points out: I don't really know that X will make me happy. In my life (the last half a century), I have experienced many such X's and I can attest that both Buddha and Socrates are on to something...

You've hit the proverbial BULLS EYE here in terms of human words! 99% of life is complete and utterly bullshit! The 1% that ONLY matters is Loving Thyself and Life being apart of this amazing isiness

A lot of serial killers think like this. They really don't care what anyone thinks about what they do and don't feel like explaining anything to anyone. The way he thinks about others shows he's preoccupied with them and he sounds unhappy himself. I know a lot of people who are happy doing whatever.

I think he's speaking in this manner because he's trying to reach people who "are under the spell." Perhaps he is preemptively combatting the resistance in such people minds

That's a very superficial way to look at it. In reality, serial killers do care and they have a very strong identity, the opposite of what this man was teaching.

The word serial implies someone is addicted to something, in this case MURDERING others. Very different from what he means, dont care means dont let the thoughts, words and influence of society brainwash you.

I do not mind not earning a lot of money, but i hate it when my money gets stolen by criminals through inflation, taxation and man made crysies.
