Thanks to the citizens who reported all the sightings, all the Law enforcement officers who worked on this case to keep people as safe as possible. Thankfully there was no serious injuries that I have heard about and the suspected criminal is going back to prison.

The justified rant about how much money was spent because they didn't secure the exercise yard. But they need to secure prisoners after trial before transfer to maximum security. It’s always a snitch. Always! 500 law enforcement personnel in a small area and they couldn’t apprehend him. It took “ a 3rd party call” to inform the police on the fugitive’s whereabouts . Cops get paid all of this money and for 14 days we seen what they are capable of. A snitch solved this manhunt

Well I know our men and women in blue don't get paid as much as they should. You think you could make more money you do it!!!! They leave their home EVERYDAY not knowing if they will come back to their families. As for me I am very happy these law enforcement officees are out there trying to protect us and their communties. Glad they caught him. People can finally rest knowing this murderer is caught, and on his way to a more maximum security prison.

Never understood how a convicted murderer - awaiting transport to secure prison - was allowed out of his cell and into the yard in the first place. Think the coverage will now turn to scrutiny of the facility - and it's failed protocol - that allowed this escape to happen.

Just to summarize the prison issues that occurred that allow the prisoner to walk of of CC Prison. Convicted of 1st degree murder with (automatic life sentence, without parole) in Chester Country. Scheduled to be transferred to the state prison system. He should have been on 24 hour lock down and NOT in the general prison population while awaiting transfer. He wasn't. Incredibly, he was out for "recess" in the REC yard with the general population apparently without supervision, in a restricted, area either with no guards or no guards watching. Security camera shows another inmate standing watch for him as he enters the restricted area and climbed the wall. No one monitoring the security cameras as he went up the wall while staring directly at the security camera. Again, no guards; no one monitoring the security camera. Gets to the roof where an IDENTICAL prison escape had just occurred days earlier. He gets on the roof. No one monitoring the security camera. Guard tower guard? Asleep? on cell phone? Where was the guard for the tower and what was he doing (we know what he wasn't doing)? Cavalconti wanders across the roof and climbs down the outside where there are more security cameras. No one monitoring. Walks away from the prison guard towers and security cameras UNNOTICED. The prison doesn't even know he escaped. Walks up the road and vanishes. Was this just simply the perfect storm of extreme prison negligence as the public is supposed to assume - or was there something else at play? Later a count determines he wasn't in the prison.
