Part of a colloquium series on the future of European integration co-organized by Yale’s European Studies Council and the Yale Law School European Law Association, this first event in the series, which took place on December 5, 2023, was titled "The Democracy Deficit & the Future of the Rule of Law in the EU." Guest speakers included Professor Kim Scheppele of Princeton University and Professor Laurent Pech of University College Dublin. The event was chaired by Professor Isabela Mares of Yale.
