What an Icon and a living legend in the history of Ekiti music. It reminds me of my auntie late Madam Folake from Isan Ekiti.

Although am thousands of miles away from my root but this music bring my home close to me, my late father loved Ariyo and Elemure to the core, remembering his dancing steps, smiles and his spinning round when the music entered his soul. Rest in peace my Baba. Missing you everyday.

Rest in peace sir. The "eru re elebaniyan' track was one of the dominant songs during any 'gyration' time of the palm wine drinkard club between 1982 and 1985. Keep resting sir, King Femi Ariyo.

What about those beautiful Ekiti beauties ? You just have no rivals my queens. Your confidents, natural beauties, and angelic qualities are adorable my people. Happy thanksgiving to you all, out here. Wishing our people at home more of God's blessings. King Ariyo, thanks for this piece, my favorite out of all your great songs. More power to you sir.

Talented guy!!! But he put emphasis on the wrong thing which was seniority. He focused on being recognized as the King of Ere Ibile in Ekiti. I'm not going to get into who was better between him & Elemure but he insulted Elemure by mentioning his mother's disability in back & forth songs between the two of them. Elemure would not have it!!! That was the end of Ariyo. Elemure went ahead, dominated & reigned for over 30 years after Ariyo's career was dead..I wish he had focused on his work, how to better himself & avoided bickering.... Bickering between artists has always been part of musical entertainment but there are lines one should never cross. Sunny Ade & Obey seemed to be sworn enemies but look at them today. Kollington & Barrister had the worst fights but were close allies b4 the latter died. Even Obey had issues with Orlando but everything eventually became water under the bridge....
