SHMOKEY: Floyd used to do something similar. He never allowed there to be a lull in action. He always made it a point to appear like he was throwing punches staying busy & dictating the pace of the fight. He was smart & understood the mental aspects of a fight. He also never forgot that he was in a fight & being inactive is futile in the eyes of judges. I may not be explaining myself clear enough sorry.

homie spence took the saying: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" to another level. Guy is too refined of a boxer. When you observe thoroughly, you can see that there is very little wasted energy in his play. His strikes are being landed precisely to the targeted area as well. So simplistic yet so effective. Not a lot of elite boxers can do that.

Upon a re-watch I have to give so much credit to the toughness of Ugas. He took A LOT of punishment and damage this fight but still wanted to continue and never went down. Heart of a warrior.

Ugas took so many hard body shots and he kept right on fighting! He did well but slowly Errol just kept breaking him down until he became a heavy bag. It's good that it was stopped before Ugas got seriously hurt. He was taking far too much punishment.

Spence is absolutely awesome! Ugas is one tough fighter, and I take NOTHING away from him. He is totally prepared and he comes to fight. But Spence is a different animal. He does not run his mouth; he just comes to fight. His endurance is amazing! As skilled as Mayweather was, he did not have the endurance of Spence. He got rocked, and he went to the next gear. WOW! Yes, Mayweather was pretty, but Spence is in a class all by himself! I will NEVER bet against Spence!

Body breakdown is immaculate . Spence is a different breed.

Spence is RELENTLESS... hard to deal with those kind of fighters.

You will see when Spence fights Crawford how he'll be forced to be more careful with his punches. You'll see. Crawford's style and traps are different. He won't stand in there in front of Spence just for getting hit for nothing like Ugas did. Spence will have to deal with a complete boxer this time, which is different from everything that he's faced in his career despite the fact that he has a better resume than Crawford. ;)

Spence is not 50% in there against Crawford man. I just went through this and that fight side by side. Ugas did nothing here compared to Crawford. Ugas is stationary. Spence goes forward with the jab and Ugas just sits there with his defence up and Spence is able to setup his shots. But Crawford would move and keep the distance. and when Spence leaves any room, would counter. Spence is as spence against crawford as he is here. But crawford is 200% of what Ugas or any other contender would do. In simple terms, Spence got exposed. Ugas is so slow that he made Spence look fast. its relativity. you can't beat science man. Spence couldn't make any adjustment to keep up with Crawford. His trainer couldn't. They really didn't have a backup plan and were not able to come up with one. Any great fighter would. When they realized the usual strat wouldn't work on Crawford they caved in and folded like bitches man that's the truth.

They just built tough down here in Dallas 💪

That momentary lapse in concentration of Spence @ 6:31 is a major reveal of his neurological issues. He let his guards down. However, he was able to mask this as he succeeded in getting back due to following thru a repetitive brain-muscle memory actions and then, the fight was stopped in his favor just enough for him to erase that "lapse" in all the spectators' memory. It was a true red flag. a few more months, and those deficits (as much as may try to hide or ignore it) became even more evident now against Bud. Those neuro deficits don't manifest all at once. The gradually but surely progress especially if not attended to, until it will show up full blown which will be harder to manage or control. There is no reversing this. Just slowing it down. When brain cells die, they will never regenerate or resurrect anymore. That's why they're called highly specialized cells. They're pretty much special in the sense that they're ONE and DONE!

This one of the best fights in a minute. Straight up ⬆️

They say Spence only has 1 style, but if you watch the 2 Garcia fights, he fought a totally different style than he did against Ugas and Porter. He won’t fight like this against Bud. I love watching Errol Spence fight and i have never been a big boxing head in my life.

Great fight 👍 it’s a worth to watch! Both fighters are awesome! No one was running! Spence came out on top!

God, Spence looked like Rocky Marciano in this fight. Staying in a phone booth throwing hundreds of strikes anywhere, even just straight up hitting the guard trying to deal as much punishment as possible.

@@InBrad That doesn't change the fact he beat the likes of Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott, and Archie Moore..... While only being 5 foot 10 with a 67 inch reach and only weight about 180 pounds.

If you let spence land his left hand anywhere on you it’s not going to go well, you can’t let him touch you with it even on your arms or shoulders or else you’re going to be gone by the later rounds. Spence isn’t what you consider a “sharp” boxer.. he’s a good boxer that knows how to drag you into a war that you can’t win.

He’s what i like to call a compound fighter. Applying pressure to the body and power shots all over swarming you literally breaking you down. The interest he puts into the body pays off in the later rounds. The power continues from the jump

Bud will have Errol boxing 🥊 and once Ej cuts off the ring or catches terrance he’ll fight on the inside and box his way in and out is my guess. He’s got alot to prove because all the greats are picking against him. It kind of reminds me of ali frazier I Frazier was unbreakable that night because he had a chip on his shoulder

@@milfslayer3202 Crawford hand and foot speed is so much quicker as well, last fight Spence lost dating back to the amateurs was do to Serik having much better footwork. Spence punches really wide in comparison to Crawford as well, could get ugly..I think waiting for Crawford to get old was intentional Spence sees how fast he is...

So I went back and watched this fight and the Danny Garcia fight and I realized Errol Spence is like quicksand once you get inside the more you fight the faster it’ll be over

Spence used Ugas’ high guard and his own right glove to close that eye. Dude has crazy power !! Didn’t get a man down moment as Ugas basically went to defensive mode after round 6, but damn he took a beating. “The Truth” !!

If you've never seen it before, that's a paid sparring session. Ugas wasn't trying to win. Didn't throw anything with conviction and never tried to actually hurt Spence. Let him recover when he was off balance too.

Punches coming from everwhere, right hook to the body, left cross to the body, left uppercut, right hook to the head, right uppercut, left uppercut, straight left, to the body, right hook to the body, left uppercut, left to the body. Man, this guy has crazy punch variation. And this was him rusty and coming from a long lay off and eye surgery. Can't wait to see how he does against Crawford. I predict Crawford will fight like he did against Benavidez. It was a Spenceisk performance with Crawford fighting southpaw and using similar punch sequence and variation to Spence. He attacked the body a lot in that fight and I suspect it will be a body snatch shootout for quite a large portiton of the fight between him and Spence. But if they are dead even after the sixth I expect Spence to start pulling away. Spence takes a while to fully rev up but once he does it's just one way. Especially now that he has a nutritionist and is actually disciplined outside of camp unlike he was before.

Put a sandbag that doesn't move like Ugas in front of me and I'll show you a nice variety of different punches as well. Otherly said, it's easy to look great when you are facing a standing target. ;)

I am excited about these two great fighters of our generation being willing to put all they worked for over the years on the line to prove who is the better man. that's what boxing is all about. Fortunately, they are not like Thurman who doesn't want to get in the ring with either of these guys but still claims to be the face of boxing. I really respect Spence and Crawford for stepping up to the plate and working towards making the fight.

I think Spence really studies his opponent during the fight then realizes" You know what? This guy can't mess with me then proceeds to brutalize his opponent. Spence gets hit but he takes them well and just goes harder than you. That's the only way I know how to sum it up. Credit to Ugas he never quit or went down even though Spence punished him badly. Great fight. Would have love to see it go 12 but health is important than showing pride( Although he showed plenty of it) He needs to function. Taking too many shots will mess you up in the long run and possibly permanent. ✌️and blessings. Next up? Terrence bud Crawford

Spence block so many more punches than he gets credit for. Ugas barely touched him. The most was when his mouth piece flew out. Other than that Spence defense was excellent.

You are absolutely 💯% correct bro. The basic fundamentals of Errol Spence Jr is very underrated. Spence is a pressure fighter. There are a lot of great fighters that have difficulty with pressure fighters because they are trying to figure them out and Shawn Porter is not as effective in his aggression. Errol Spence Jr is a totally different beast and fundamentally aggressive fighter. There is ability that Errol Spence Jr has shown with both Garcias to just box his way to a win. The boxing we saw going on back and forth between Crawford and Porter, when those two were trying to figure each other out, Errol Spence Jr is a much better boxer than Shawn Porter and you Crawford fans will be surprised with his boxing ability. It is more than just a jab. However we will see when the fight happens. I still think Shawn Porter would have made it to the 12th round and to the decision if his dad never threw the towel in but now we'll never know and it doesn't matter because Bud Crawford got the stoppage and I respect that. Let's give him all the credit in the world. But it isn't like Bud Crawford went in there and dominated Shawn Porter and just F**ked up Shawn Porter to such an extent where it was spectacular blow out like people are trying to make it out to be. That performance didn't outshine Errol Spence's performance.
