I agree with Derrick James. Technique increases power and can build endurance. Arm punches and not turning punches over takes away from a boxer. Errol is speaking on ruthless RAW power and the lack of chin. Jermell has RAW power and his technique amplifies his power. Jermall's left hook on Centeno was like a time bomb.

Proper balance and coordination can generate enormous power. It’s a simple physics but to be able to showcase it during fights depends on athleticism and strategy with a help of luck

You can’t teach raw punching power, but you can teach accuracy, timing, balance and all those things that lead to a punch having power. A prime example is George foreman and mike Tyson, foreman was slower with not as good technique and speed and threw mostly arm punches, and Holyfield said 42 year old foreman hit harder then Tyson

Your legs and core work will increase your power.If you have speed on how you turn your punches and natural power you can be a lethal puncher.
You can teach a fighter punching power hit power come more natural little bit harder to teach
James is absolutely correct. I remember this video. I need to save this. I don't box, but I do know how to whip a punch with the kung fu effect where you hear the swoosh on my hooks and uppercuts. Certain fighters do it well. Power is generated from your core. Your legs just stabilize you so you can generate the torque. Your mass and physical strength amplify good technique.
@IKeepsIt100

George Foreman actually has perfect technique to go along with his mass and strength. That's why he KO's guys while it appears effortless. Look how he caught Cooney with that uppercut, then straight. Wilder said it's like slicing a thin piece of cheese. It's the technique. Look at Marquez when he KOed Pacquiao. He trained to KO Pacquiao in that 4th fight. Yes, he was a puncher, but that one punch KO was devastating. There's also physically strong guys that can't punch for 🤬. They'll get only 650 on that punch machine.
@Cente_Bui

The legs are generators of power, not just stabilizers. Your feet are the only part of your body in contact with an immovable object, the ground. The way you rotate your core determines how much of it transfers into your strikes. Foreman is so fun to watch, it unreal how much damage he does with such casual movement.
Even Ej warm-up shots are Crispy
if technique was enough to get knock out power, then why doesn't ever professional fighter have it? All the boxers at the elite level, know how to punch. You either have ko power, or you don't. Sure, you can learn to punch harder with the correct technique. But once you know that technique, that's it. It doesn't guarantee you ko power. It just allows you to punch at your hardest. Which for some boxers, might not be hard at all.
You can't teach power you can teach someone how to punch right and use their body more witch will make them punch to there potential but that's it some people can punch like crazy some can't
You can increase power. You can't teach it.
DEREK JAMES KNOWS
More important than power is getting the shot home, it only takes 1kg of force or 10 newtons to put someone on the canvas if they hit someone right on the button, so while yes i agree people do have physical genetic advantages you CAN teach someone to be dead accurate and get more consistent knockouts as a result which in the ring will overshadow someone with devastating power, thats why any boxing gym worth its salt will emphasize the fundamentals before they start developing speed and power because that comes with time and consistent training ... that stuff just develops on its own the more you train.
Power can be increased over long term. Hip and shoulder dexterity are very important. If you can turn and rotate them both with proper feet position extra power is achievable
Bo Mack listened at the punches Errol Spence is going to tear that body up and work that stoppage no doubt!!!!!!!

You can almost see and feel the vibes in the gym when Ellie asks Spence to fight ggg or canelo at 160. I don’t know if Ellie is playing around or never competed and doesn’t respect weight classes, genetics, natural strength at certain weights.

Although this video is old errol has mentioned before that he’d fight canelo and if I’m quoting his exact words “I’ll beat canelo ass” like at least a couple years ago before he was on PPV’s and was catching real buzz he said that so I’m sure Ellie wasn’t kidding even though it’s probably not likely that it would happen anytime soon or that it would happen at all and even tho Errol isn’t favored to win by majority this isn’t something he’s just said recently or out of blue for clout or attention he’s envisioned himself in legendary fights with legends like manny and Canelo and believes whole heartedly that he can win as he should can’t really knock him for daring to be great
@MichaelSantos-ru3bb

@@adarianjohnson4596 my reply was stemming from the videos that I have seen from Ellie’s platform like the one with the female interviewing Mikey Garcia in the car and this one and people who interview fighters in general. I feel like fighting weights are not being respected anymore from a fans perspective and that wouldn’t matter much to me but when I see people who understand the sport put fighters and teams on the spot and ask them to fight guys way out of their division it comes off in a weird way, it is no disrespect to Ellie at all I don’t know what he has done for boxing or if he has competed or even if he has some family ties in the industry this is just my opinion. And when you say Spence said in interviews he would want to fight canelo etc etc, you would want that confidence out of your fighters that’s why they have managers. It is almost like if you put two fighting dogs together there gonna bark and there gonna fight that’s what there trained to do with no thought of loss in there heads.
