What a beautiful rendition of a song that I first heard sung by the Oakridge Boys! Today is the first time I heard this version by Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. I was deeply moved by the beautiful singing by this awesome group to the point of tears in my eyes. I don't have any children; however, I have wonderful nieces and nephews. In the mid 70's, I babysat for my sister's children. I remember having one of my nephews join me in my little office, on numerous occasions, in the basement of my home. I played this song for him and I told him that I played the song to show him how much I loved him. "Thank God for kids; nieces and nephews, too!" Take Care!

I couldn't help noticing how Ernie just couldn't keep his hands off the baby. He and his wife do not have children, but every time there are children in their program, he seems to love them. I love this group!

I didn't know they were in Watertown...What year was this, and where did they perform. How I wish they could come there again as we are only 14 miles from Watertown. I just started liking them about 2 years now.. I love their music and testimony.

Gaye Stromberg and I wrote Thank God For Kids. The song was written in Melungeon. Gaye was teaching Melungeon for foreign language when she home schooled. The song was written on February 17, 1992. That was the year I turned 25. Gaye's second daughter Sarah had the same birthday as me. Sarah turned 8 that year.

As the Mom of 7, 4 of whom are adults, I thank God for each of my kids... I just fret over them... When they are little, they are in your arms, but once they get grown they are on your heart (this is true)... My next to the youngest is causing me lots of heartbreak... I keep praying but he keeps breaking my heart. He's 15 years old but it's like he doesn't care... I am so tired...
