amazing fighter, have alot of respect for michael, was a great kyokushin karateka. It's ashame because his boxing skills let him down & he was much much lighter than hoost, I think it was by at least 15kg, michael isn't a heavyweight otherwise could have been a different outcome because he was nailing with the kicks, would have taken out someone his own size.

Thompson was a great fighter, but to light for k-1 also he didn't do full transition from kyokushin into kickboxing properly, like Andy Hug, Sam Greco, lebanner, Francisco filho, Sem Schilt ect.But later on he managed to become a champion in muay thai, Ossu !!

Michael was a great kicker, but hoosts style was completer. Much more boxing and knees
