It's like seeing an old friend after summer vacation

What this map does well, that I wish the used in the other 2 maps, is they left a lot of grassland. I would like to see them go further and leave relatively flat areas as grass land, so we can buy any of those areas, use it for grass, put on a farm, plow it, build animal pins, or place production. We really just need a few fields for starting a game, and a dedicated farm for new players, and that can leave many open areas for the player to buy and decide what to do with it. You can destroy fields by building, but it's just nice to give us a blank slate with no numbers, or anything that just let's us go nuts.

Well that is the way this map is designed. I think the others and generally speaking all of the custom maps are meant for big farming and field work game play. Personally I wish more maps like this were made where you are started off as an animal farmer and not the standard combine and tractors forcing you to work fields. I think though you should watch for the mods that allow you to turn these massive grass lands in to animal pens themselves, it will give your games a FAR more realistic feel as cows will be in fields and not 100 cows some how fitting in to a tiny little pen as it is now.

@@TheGCDesigns Have you seen the Elm Creek edit map by Stevie that came out recently? Farmer Klein did a video on it a few days ago, but he seems to have taken a style of having several large fields in some areas, yet he left many areas in the north grassland that you can do what you want with. I plan on playing it when It gets more finished. For my main play right now I am on Haut-Beyleron, and have been focusing on Cows and Grass. I do not own, nor have I leased, a crop seeder, nor harvester, after a year and a half of gameplay. It is fun and unique with a bit of challenge to it, but it can be done with base game maps. I do agree having free range animals in large pastures would be great, sadly, the closest thing I have seen to it is the Grey Stone NC map, FK also did a video on. But it had several open horse pens, but they all stayed in a small area around the food troughs, and did not use most of the space allotted for them. :/ Hopefully, some mods come out that can add something like that though.

I don’t disagree with your assessment. I did find several spots on the map to place factories without hacking up plots. That being said I love the challenge of building an enormous dairy farm high in the mountains. All the shaped meadows are actually unmarked fields. Helpers will work them without plowing them with create field option. I feel like that’s why the map exists. I didn’t play FS19, so I have no reference. Chocolate factory, cheese, and so much grassland.

was hoping for expansion-got more grasslands and building c onverted factories.Othe 2 maps are also a bit of let down especially season(s).

So I found out that the forage harvesters will not cut the grass fields. Do you happen to know if there is a modded forage harvester that will?

Are you using the mower header?

I took on the grass mowing, baling, and transport to the animal dealer mission. I'm not having any luck selling the silage at the animal dealer. When I pass over the dump icon, it doesn't offer the option to sell the bales. I've unloaded the bales at the sell point. Also, a biogas plant is listed in the sell point list. I can't find it. Playing the game in the hard mode. HELP!

You cant find the bga? The map video I show the BGA location on the PDA as well as during the fly and drive around portions. Bales wont give you an unload indicator as far as I know. Its possible you unloaded the bales somewhere outside the trigger. I do not recall if I showed in the video the acutal trigger or not as that wa a few weeks ago at this point.

@@FarmerKlein I have the same issue. I own the biogas plant and have no issue filling whats required for production but I cannot figure out how to just sell my silage in mass. Does it have to be bailed to use that sell point you showed at the biogas plant?

Giants forgot the stone crusher on this map 🙈

Fiarly sure in the map tour there was a water fill trigger at the main farm.

@@FarmerKlein That’s not available on Manager or Start from Scratch. No good spots for free water as the banks are too steep. You need to buy your own water sell point outside of New Farmer mode.

Found a free water point on the bank of the lake at top left. Follow the water bank and you'll find you can take a tanker down easiest at about 50m from the most south west point of the lakeside, between the trees and stones.

Can anyone tell me if fs19 mods work in fs22? Now big field maps yet so I can't play

There's plenty of RPGs with NPCs. This game ain't for you son ;)

So disappointed in the other farms on this map. They are completely worthless. I bought the farm in the top left and started working the fields in the area for over 4 hours just to realize none of the buildings work on the farm and you can't sell any of them. Frustration level 10. Weak effort by Giants in my opinion.

wow the map looks like garbage... really disappointed about those ugly graphics, they didnt change anything from FS19 and charge the full price again just for adding 1-2 mods to the base game
