The extra weekly lined notes page that was shown in the flora rings a-5 Daily Duo is also a media copy and is not going to be in the planners this year. Since several comments have been about this I wanted to share a little background. Until yesterday afternoon we all thought that extra page in the Daily Duo was included and I though it was a game changer! I raved about it in this video...lol! Then I received an email the day before this video came out from my EC rep. She said that they just realized that mistake of the extra page in the media copies we had been sent. So I had to go back in and edit out my raving and put the caption on the screen to tell you that page is not in the planners, and then re-upload the whole video to KZread. I should I have put the same caption in the flora Daily Duo flip through to further clarify. I hope that clears it all up...and maybe next year they will have that extra lined page per week. I always wanted that in any daily planner I used and I thought it was brilliant!

Could you find out if the coiled daily will have the year at a glance calendar up front. It is shown in the A5 but not the coiled version. Thanks. I really use that feature.

Wonder if eventually they might sell extra pages. A set of blank lined, dot grid, meal planning, etc. Wonder if the hole punches that they sell would work with this new planner. Then people might be able to make their own pages. Or take the current binder pages for the big binders and trim them down to fit.

I really wish they would make an option to have the monthly calendars start on Monday! I don't associate a new week with a Sunday. I like my weekends to be together, not broken up.

I like the Sunday start, I find SMTWTFS more appealing visually than MTWTFSS. Also my work history rarely had traditional weekends as days off, so I do agree it is what you are used to and nice to have variety.

I wasn't going to get a planner until the fall but now I think I NEED a Daily Duo because Saturday and Sunday have separate days (my weekends tend to be packed so the one day format was a dealbreaker). So now I'm counting the hours and writing my shopping list!

Wow, that flora design and the colors they used for it are stunning!! I wish the weekly pages weren't so neutral though, and that they had carried more color for it into the week, like in the mid century circles. But as it is, I'll have to go with the colorful mid century circles. But I may have to load up on the flora accessories, because wow! As I said, stunning!! I also really love the a5 daily duo! I have the monthly EC life planner now. For 2022, I am thinking of doing a hybrid with monthly, weekly, daily pages and have note pages at the beginning and end of each month. This undertaking would require me to purchase several life planners in different formats. I am crushing on the floral pattern! 😍

If you were interested in the ring agenda, you could add a notes page to your agenda after Sunday. You would be able to use one side for one week and the other side for the other week?

Amanda - you are absolutely the best source for all things planners and I always use your links to make my purchases. Question for you...do you know if EC will have A5 coiled notebooks? I love the paper so much but would like a notebook a little smaller for work so the A5 size would be perfect for me!!!

Let me tell you that I was SUPER excited about that extra notes page per week! I thought it was a game changer for the Daily Duo. Thanks, Amanda! Great info as always. I'm confused about the extra lined page at the end of the week in the daily. Yes, it would be absolutely monumental to have it there to create a week-at-a-glance, but also for continuity. If it's not there in the final product, do the weeks just start over and rotate through? So you'd end up with different days of the weeks on different sides of the page, and Sunday would just flow directly into the following Monday on a facing layout. That just seems like it would end up being messing and confusing to work in. With the extra lined page, it provides a break between weeks where you could conceivably drop in a set of weekly pages right there too.

I agree with you 100% Haley....my understanding is the weeks just flow...and I also worry about how that feels and the days of the week won't be on the same side of the page. I do wish they had sent us the final copies so we could show that. Maybe you can ask EC on one of their instagram posts and they can clarify. I will also copy this comment and email it to my rep at EC and see what she says.

Right! Now we all want to shop!!!! Oh, the flora Planny Pack is a winner!

One things that sort of "perturbs" me with EC. I know they like to put in their design through out the planner. But if they made them smaller, there would be a lot more room on each page for planning, etc. Same thing I see with the sticky notes. Some of the designs take over it looks like 1/4 of the space. That makes less room for notes, etc. that people write on them.

With the daily duo, I can quit my Google calendar because I hate being tied to my phone. This size can fit in a tote bag so I can take it to work. Love it!

As for what I'd choose, I'm still up in the air -- I do know that I'm a vertical spiral 12-month girl. As for theme I like all three! then colorful or neutral? Oy! What to choose... (sigh!) I love the Flora for its serenity, the mid-century for the flagship design elements, and the Just My Type for it's simplicity. (Sigh!) I love the soft ring binder for its sleek cover design. Perfect for professional users. That empty slot is likely for a long skinny paper pad. I'm with you, that Flora planny pack is gorgeous!

I am in love with the "Just My Type Neutral"! Absolutely love the zero color, love the gray tabs, love all the different fonts in it. Definitely will be my go-to for next year. I like color, but it's also nice to just have no color and decorate with different kinds of stickers sometimes. I use a Colorful now, but only because I never really liked the muted colors in the old Neutral. Definitely excited for all the new things they are releasing. The Mid Century Circles is an awesome design, I just wish it wasn't always accented in Gold. I am not a gold fan. Would love the design with a silver accent. I just wish they did their new launches for the calendar year instead of academic, lol.. but that is a minor thing. Excellent video as always.

First of all thank you:) Horizontal boxes in the A-5 are 5x1.5 (whole box including small box) and 1.25x1.75 small shaded box. The 7x9 I am giving in cm and you can convert on google bc it was easier to measure that way...16.3x4.4cm (whole big box including small box) 4x4.4cm (small box). Hope that helps! I really wish EC would list out box sizes on their site with products too.

Thanks for your in depth videos. Kudos to your Assistant also. You've helped me figure out my shopping list. I think I'm going to buy coiled planners in three 7x9 styles MCC-vertical, Flora-horizontal & Just My Type-colorful-vertical. Plus accessories. I am sooo excited! I wish they would offer the Flora in 8-1/2x11 size with other layout options. But maybe if it does well they will in the future. By the way, your video with all the layouts for 2021 was also very helpful. I know its a lot of work but, if you decide to do it again that would help a lot of folks. Especially, because EC does not show all the pages in the layouts on their website so, we look to the Affiliates to help us out. Whatever you decide to do, I appreciate you and have been subscribed since last year. Will use your link for one of my purchases.

Wow! 🤩 Thanks for your video laying out all the options! Questions about the A5 Daily Duo for you: what are the measurements of one of the 6-month planners (Not just length and width but also the depth/thickness)??? Sorry to be so fussy but I would like to know if it will fit in a non-EC leather folio i have. Also, what does one daily duo Planner weigh? Lastly, can i get the daily duo to start in January instead of July? Sorry to be so needy, but as one planner aficionado to another, I know you will understand. 😆 Thanks again for everything you-and your son-do for the planner community! 💜

Thank you Sam for the kind words:) I understand needing to know all this before spending the money;) It is about 1 inch thick. DD weight is 1lb 6oz. And yes you can get the January start DD on launch day:) Happy shopping!

Why don’t you just take out the last 6 months in the planner you would use? You can do a shout out to see if any shop owners would like a month and some weeks for kit sizing so they could get a head start? But ultimately up to you - just thought I’d throw in my two cents! 😊 also, thank you for such a detailed flip and I love hearing your opinions. They give me such good ideas! So thank you!! 🙏🏻

I was going to suggest the same! I get an 18-month every year because I plan that far ahead. I just take out the weekly pages for July to December (and add in this year’s May and June so I am not carrying around 2 books!)

That's a great idea...but I have uncoiled once and really don't want to do it again...also I don't want the bigger 18 month coil on my planner. And I don't mind having an extra planner that I don't use becuase I will need it for future videos anyway (I should have said that). But if I didn't need it that is a wonderful idea;)

You don't need to uncoil to remove the extra months. You could just snip them out or frankly rip them.

So excited! Will you be doing a giveaway for any of the planners that you have received?

I use them all year for comparison videos and answering questions so I won't be unless EC offers to do one for me. I also don't mail giveaways from my home anymore, it just became a lot of work and time. So I do them if the company offers to mail them to the winner. I hope that makes sense:)

I’m going with the Flora. Normally I would be all over the MCC, but I’m growing weary of having so much color on the weekly spreads. I love the colorful tabs and monthly spreads, but on my weekly spread I want more minimal. I’m happy we got the Just My Type because it means they’re heading in the right direction. But my dream LP would be the equivalent of the Just My Type with the neutral weekly spreads but with whatever the theme is like MCC. I’m going with Flora just for something a little different and kind of meets in the middle-some color on the tabs and spreads but with neutral weekly spreads.

Ughh indecisive now. I love the 7x9 mid century circle vertical layout. But kinda want to try the A5 daily duo 😬 just don’t like that it’s 2 books lol I don’t know 😫 #plannerseason lol thanks for the video btw 🤗

That is a hard decision! If you already love the 7x9 I would stay with that unless you feel like it really is too much space for you;)

@@AmandasFavorites Thank you for the insight! I just put in my order for the A5 because I’m a teacher and I’ve been working from home the whole year. I’ll be starting in-person this week and I know I’ll appreciate a smaller option to lug back and forth. I don’t think I’ll miss the extra space. Your review definitely helped me make that decision!

I can't be the only one that has butchered an EC planner to fit it into an A5 binder 😩 The evolution of this brand has been so satisfying to be a part of. I've purchased others but ALWAYS come back to my trusted life planners!
