Amanda is projecting. Her lack of relationship DEFINITELY impacts what she thinks of her partner's mother
Just because you're not comfortable with your own mother doesn't mean she has to be the same way

Yes absolutely! I came here to say that. She's beautiful, and I think her personality is just amazing. They're a great couple.
Amanda is exhausting she’s aggressive to call your partner lazy and dirty and tell her parents to their face it’s your fault. Gworl..if you’re trying to foster a relationship this is the absolute wrong way to do it
Amanda is a mature, straight talker. Being raised by Grandma will do that👊🏾 They weren't ready for it 😂
I am soo glad her mother accepted full responsibility and accountabilty
Keep it real and be respectful. Amanda doesn't have a relationship with her mother. But you want to tell me Erin how she should be with her mother. Ma'am sweep around ya own door first . Fix her relationship with her mother first.

The only thing she said was for amanda to respect herself and your parents shouldn’t determine your self worth
Amanda will always put a distance between Erin and her mother
Some people think Amanda is rude because some people can't tolerate that level of direct honesty. She was never disrespectful. She just didn't sugar coat or walk around the issues like folks prefer.

Yes I had to come back to comments because I’m like who was rude?
Amandas words are so real that people see it as rude. She is just being real and she is doing it in a respectful way. No anger...no yelling. I was cringing at some of her words but it was me being uncomfortable not Amanda being rude. Society is uncomfortable with realness
Amanda is rude and she doesnt let anyone else talk but i think its because she’s been so quiet about her issues she cant softly address anything

I miss this show
Erins mom got off kinda easy. She knows if Erin was marrying a man she would've told EVERYBODY!!
I don’t care for Amanda at all. I’m sorry she really need to focus on her relationship with her mother before trying to get married
After reading the comments I tried to give Amanda the benefit of the doubt . But she’s crossing a boundary . She’s disrespectful!
Amanda was out of line. Granted, the mom probably needed to be called out, it just wasn’t her business telling the mom about her parenting skills. And speaking on Erin’s relationship with her mother being “superficial” yikes

Love Amanda and her directness, how she calmly relays her views and objections which tend to be misconstrued as being rude
I think so far this is the best and calmest families conversation in this show.. 😊
The dynamics are challenging, but the question is, once the cameras are off, will they still have their families' blessings? I hope the best for Erin and Amanda.
Amanda is definitely projecting because of her pain from her relationship with her mother
Amanda trying to point out other people flaws and she a walking contradiction
I don't see why everyone has such a big issue w/ Amanda. She's trying to build a real relationship and she targets issues that are hindering the relationship while it seems as though others are being passive and tip toeing around the issues. She's blunt, I like that.
Erin's too damn gorgeous
Omg, I LOVE Dr. Ramani ❤ I would be so grateful to get counseling from her.
Erin not checking Amanda for her rude and disrespectful behavior is the biggest issue ! I honestly feel like they both are the problem with both there families . I can see why her mother doesn’t have a relationship they are judgmental and non-accountable
@Yourfavorite-cx6jz
Ай бұрын
Rude by doing what exactly? aI saw her being direct . She didn’t call her out her name, yell at her.. The mother didn’t like what was being said because she didn’t want to be accountable. In black households (i’m black) it common to not be allowed to voice truthful opinions to adults/parents. It’s considered talking back defending yourself and your emotions. Even her husband admitted that he picked up behind erin. cleaning wasn’t fully enforced cause they’d do it.
@msbossatlanta
Ай бұрын
@@Yourfavorite-cx6jz I’m black as well , she was rude with the things she said . She wasn’t listening but quick to cut in and assert her opinion on a relationship that wasn’t even her own to speak on . She should’ve let her work that out with her mother first on her own . I feel as though the mother was taking accountability she just wasn’t willing to be accepting . Yes her father did admit to picking up behind her but to call it dysfunction like there was something wrong that she was raised different was rude and disrespectful. She didn’t retort and says well I feel as tho dysfunction is forcing children to grow up to fast with to much responsibility or not giving them freedom . She was doing to much and it was misdirected
This was the best episode I have seen. The love the closure n acceptance….wow what a great family on both ends!❤❤
My ex fiance was very honest and my family couldn't handle it they also thought she was rude but she wasn't she was direct she shaped me to be a person that would be able to be assertive especially in work settings when my mom raised me to be her babysitter and slave I'm grateful to have met her she changed me for the best🤷🏿♀️ she also showed me the ways my mom would manipulate me to finace her when my siblings father was present in the home

Is this show still lit 🔥 in 2024?

This is Such a Reallly great one. The Whole Show.
Even if Amanda has some valid points with the parenting of her partner. It's just that she is so forceful with what she believes is facts, and that's the problem we have with a lot of lgbti folks, their beliefs can be so forceful. All of that is a process

This episode was so wholesome. And the girls are so damn beautiful.
I hope they made it. I hope Amanda gets used to shrinking for the woman she loves. I just can’t take someone being this pompous and condescending and definitely not to my family. It’s feels like Amanda is the loudest with her sexuality but the most insecure with it.

Amber is way over the top when talking to Erin's mom. And she is disrespectful talking about her lack of cleanliness with her parents.
Amanda said having a relationship with her mother matters but you brought her into a privileged part of your life which is marriage so why don’t you do therapy with her first
Amanda is checking everybody else but her own mother & that’s where all of her frustrations are coming from,..Amanda is definitely jealous of the relationship her fiancé has with her mother!

The Amanda slanda is baffling me. She had the guts and the maturity to pull all the skeletons out the closet with so much grace and patience and REALNESS. I think that realness is bothering some of y’all.

It could be. I was thinking the same thing myself.
I’m confused with Amanda’s mom if Amanda says her mom relationship is nonexistent. How can that stop a whole relationship of 5 years with someone you decided to spend your life with, unfortunately Amanda trauma with her mother needs to be handle first.
My thing if she had no right to attack her Erin mom like that
Amanda Amanda, wow. Very rude and you can rub anyone the wrong way. With this attitude i can see it being very difficult for the families to have a cordial relationship

Amanda is scared to have a relationship her mom. her feelings were played with and dismissed ❤ now get having an issue with the time in which her gf parents calling their daughter is a little much even though if there isn’t an emergency why call that late.
How she gonna tell her how to treat her mother, when she got problems with her own mother. Talking bout she past needing a mother, she’s bitter and disrespectful asl!
This is gonna be me one day
How rude is Amanda, my word. I feel so sad for Erins mom
These people need Iyanla!
Ouppppp now miss Amanda got a sharp mouth on her
Amanda if it's such a problem y stay for 5 yes. And y would you want to marry her. Erin let her go , she's very demanding , will end up changing everything about you when she's been cool all this time. RED FLAGS ALL OVER IT
She cannot love right now. She’s too far into her self protection.
If ahe didnt think having a relationship with her mother matters, u wouldnt get emotional and cry about it. Ppl dont think it does until u see someone ur dating relationship or ur mom gets sick. U will regret it later.
I dknt care what ppl may say about others but there should never be and disrespect speaking to a parent.
