Cr7 as a cam or a false 9 would've been beautiful to watch...allow him to draw the defense towards himself while he helps spread the ball. I like that Ronaldo is speaking his mind about this thing. I think more people should do that about their current work situation if they're unhappy but I know that not everyone can do that. Ronaldo did this knowing that he might get fired by Manchester United. The only thing that shocked me in this interview was when he said that Rooney and Neville were "Not his friends". that kinda made me sad since he shared some great moments with them. I guess the only other thing that surprised me was how supposedly outdated Manchester United's infastructure is and didn't change since he left (though thinking about it now, Alexis Sanchez essentially implied this in a post-manchester united interview but didn't elaborate). I say , good on him. hopefully he finds a good club to go to after united and good luck to him in the word cup

At the time time, I guess not all teammates are friends - Patrice Evra for example is a good one - invited to his house, personally hang out, etc but dont think he was close to Rooney or Neville like that

100% agree ! none of this is helping. I do think that the glasers are indeed a big part of the problem but the ego in this team (not only Ronaldo) has been out of control and they could all use a dose of humility and back up their coach and they’ll get back on top eventually. That’s what we’re starting to see with Arsenal ! They trusted the process and it’s now paying off ! Ronaldo should just go play for Sporting, he’d get champions league football back and could win some domestic silverware whilst being worshipped by all the fans and not feel the pressure of a top five league

While I am generally of the mindset that a club comes before a single player I have to agree with him... When you have club owners who are that disinterested in the club they own and only see it as a piggy bank and all those other things happening there it makes me feel sad that the club that undoubtedly made him great chose to turn their back on him and leave him in the dust x( I hope he finds a decent club to end his career in or at least Portugal performs well in the world cup so he can retire. He had done his work, more than many other great footballers and he cemented his place in the sport.

I dissagree, the club convinced him to stay, and then the manager literally created a system that does not include him. He was brought as a manager BEFORE the summer. They could have sold him, or terminated his contract in the summer, but chose to kept him missarably and honestly mistreated him regarding his family matters. They kept him at the club and promised him crap they didn't mean to just because of the power he has as a public image with the fans.

As a Barca fan, I have to say Ronaldo is an absolute menace in the football world. Man UTD is no longer the place for him or any other player of his quality

It's easy to hate him and laugh at the one of the GOATs when he's down, because so many want to see him fail, it speaks more about their own humanity than R7's. Also, footballers are not all all Cantona the poet, the typical professional footballers grow up rough, that's why football is their way out, people forget that. If you're expecting him to be a role-model or whatever, I mean, to each their own I suppose. But your video is spot on, his affection for the club cannot be questioned, all of these SAF no player bigger than club whatever, you can go both ways with that argument (meaning that he is actually speaking out for the club, just like Keane did years ago). It's easy to arselick a player because of what they've done in the past and blame a manager who has to control the whole squad not pander to one player. Ronaldo hasn't exposed anything, he just wants out of the club and pressed nuclear but to do so. So don't mix up with it being some sort of anti-Glazer motivation.

I don't envy ten Hag's position, but you used the word pander, it's one thing to pander, and it's another thing to manage personalities (the literal thing he interviewed for), and then there's he's my fifth choice captain antagonizing BS. There's no arselicking, and quite frankly it's like you didn't read people's comment and just assumed everyone who defends CR7 is some fan boy. Thinking about the sequence of events, there are so many ways the club could've sidestepped this, especially during the transfer window. His finishing isn't what it used to be, he doesn't press, needs a lot of servicing, needs someone to makeup for his lack of defensive work AND costs a lot. Unfortunately Ronaldo is becoming victim of modern football. He said in this interview he doesn't believe in the obsession of new coaches with pressing. But no team can survive today without it. Even in his prime, Ronaldo wasn't intrested much in pressing but it was more than affordable in return of his 50-60 goals + 10-15 assists a season. But now it's not worth for 20 odd goals and barley any assists at all. His best use can be as super sub only but not for 3 minutes but 20-30

Ronaldo literally didn't make any new revelations about how poorly United is run. Do you wanna know how I know this? Look up these United channels. You will find hundreds of videos complaining about what United have been doing. Check Stretford Paddock, Stephen Howson, The United Stand and Rants and Bants. United fans, most notably Manchester local United fans, have been aware of this crap for years.

"Cristiano Ronaldo saved the club last year" In the 2020/21 season Man Utd scored 73 Pl goals and was a team of several goal scorers, but for the 2021/22 season scoring goals was replaced with giving the ball to Ronaldo, and as a result Ronaldo scored 18 PL goals, but the club only scored 57, 7 of which came in the three matches before Ronaldo. It's almost like having only one goal scorer means less goals. Ronaldo is one of the greatest players ever, but i highly doubt he saved anything for us. And as for Ten Hag, his overall win rate thus far is 66.67%, compared to Rangnick's 37.93%, Solskjaer's 54.17%, and Mourinho's 58.33%. So to insinuate that Ten Hag is failing because we're currently at fifth place is highly dishonest. This video stinks of fanboyism.

Ronaldo made very good points about the upper management but he fails to take any blame on the team underperforming last year. We had substantially worse sides finish in the top 4 and his effect on the team chemistry really hurt us overall. Bruno and Rashford play their worst football with Ronaldo around. Also the current table position isn’t a fair comparison when you consider they got Casemiro and Antony late. They would easily be in third place right now.

Also as for his current form, he has the most big chances missed despite not playing the most games. He’s no longer clinical and deserved his benching. The City game the guy who came in for him Martial, got two goals and an assist. I very much doubt Ronaldo would have done any better that day.
