He blew everyone’s mind when he auditioned in Swedish “Idol” 2009 and won. Absolutely incredible then, and at least as incredible now. He is one of many Swedish artists we are proud of 🇸🇪

In 2018 Erik portrayed Simon Zealotes in the NBC live television concert production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar, in which he received Grammy nomination for in the Best Musical Theater Album category.

Been following Erik since Swedish Idol in 09', when he joined the Swedish band H.E.A.T. then he left to explore other things then got diagnosed with Leukemia, during his treatments he decided to get back to singing which is when he started his youtube Channel, it was kind of a therapeutic thing for him, kept him busy and helped him rebuild his stamina to sing etc. He re-recorded 18 and Life from Skid Row, the guys in SR saw it, hired him, he sang for Skid Row for two years, recorded one album with them, toured pretty consistent all over the world for 2 years with them, and decided he needed to step away from touring cause his immune system just isn't getting stronger quick enough and the constant touring was really working against his health. He's an incredible guy, very talented, nice as they come...

Great rendition of this beautiful song (and the sax 👍). Erik is the former singer of H.E.A.T and Skid Row (he left Skid Row a few weeks ago). He's from Sweden and did awesome collabs with Dan Vasc and Tommy Johansson for example and his channel contains a lot of gems. What an amazing reaction again, Greg. Thank you ❣️

I can't help smiling a bit, reading this comment section🤗 I just have to get this off my chest: When a song is converted into metal, it's a 10/10 guarantee!! 🤘 Can't go wrong there!😁 Some people don't realise that it takes a very strong voice, being able to sing rock/metal. Also many of these singers are very much capable of doing a great job singing other genres. Like this guy, Erik G, from Sweden (I'm soo proud being Swedish myself!🇸🇪). We also have Tommy Johansson, another rock singer, with vocals that will blow you out of the water!🤘 Check out Erik Grönwall's cover of "Headless cross" by Black Sabbath. Then check out Tommy Johansson's version of that same song. Personally I can't say who did the best version.🤨 Both of them are epic!
