Thank you for your continued support and insightful response to this cover of Dan and Erik put together by Karla Bessa. At first you would think they did it as one. But Dan's cover is about 6 years old and Erik's is about 11 months old. I personally like Dan's soulful version better. With Erik you can see the strain in his face and neck. Despite everything they are 2 excellent singers and artists. Thank you for your thoughts on this and for sharing......

Karla Bessa does a good job combining vocals like this in her videos. But, for this song, I prefer to listen to them separately to hear the beauty and clarity of each voice. I think if Dan and Erik actually performed this together, there would have been harmonies in several places. One can only dream.

This video is a fan-made mix. The 2 songs that they covered together were Breaking The Silence and We All Die Young. The latter cover was taken down, but I still don't know why. I have found a short clip from it still available on Instagram or tik tok...

I love Dan and Erik is great too. But you can see who relaxed Dans throat is while singing and Eriks throat looks so strained while he is singing. They both sound amazing, its just something I noticed.

This is a favorite Dan solo cover for me. I must say that I would have preferred just Dan’s video, rather than these two separate versions that don’t exactly mesh. Still, fun to hear. Another great actual collab is between Dan and Rob Lundgren on the Avantasia song Reach Out for the Light. Highly recommended. And, if you like these fan mashups, the best I’ve ever seen is by your fellow reactor Viking!, mashing Dan doing Last Ride of the Day with a live performance by Floor and Nightwish. It’s excellent. ha,ha, the headphones are flying again, it's so funny. I think it's good when you can really see emotions. (like in Santa Claus is Coming To Town). 🤣 But there's also something special about Dan's voice and expressiveness in Thunderstruck. Simply amazing!!!! 🤩🤩

Great duet! Not taking anything from Eric's talent, but I think Dan has the better voice. It seemed like Eric was really straining to hit some of those notes, as evidenced by the cords in his neck really bulging. Whereas Dan was very natural with his vocals.

Two amazing vocalists...but I prefer listening to them separately.....unless they actually do get together and do it for real. Thanks for your reaction. I always enjoy them.❤😊

I prefer the real collaboration they did, Breaking the Silence. There are some areas in this where the 2 videos are not quite in synch.
