I am not a professional. A few years after your dad died I happened to go to a NLP week-end with some counselors. They were basically teaching about getting into repoire with people. Now 40 years later after much spititual investigating I saw this in my you tube feed. You really knocked my socks off. You are so right about your Dad. Your Dad knew that making that connection was important for both himself and his patients. He opened people up to the hidden possibilities of life that were available to them once they cleared out old patterns of behavior. I realized that my subconscious mind is my best friend. I trust it to find my lost keys or get me out of a jam. I have to quiet my conscious mind and give the issue over to that wonderful part of myself that has the answers. I too thought your dad knew just what to say to people not realizing the spiritual work he had done with them first. Thanks to you and your brother. I hope you two are still around since this is an older video.

I would love to hear the out takes. What was said about the Bandler's and Grinder visits that we didn't hear?

Great sharing - Thank you so much! - Being a Trager Practitioner - Psychophysical Integration developed by Milton Trager - is is in the name?So much equality - as also Milton Trager was against techniques but being in the moment with what that person needed - being in hook up - was his expression.

Why on earth is his story not made into a film? Have you any idea how many people would go out of their way to see it?

It's real life, not fiction. I don't think Michael Bay would be interested, and it wont be a blockbuster, just a TV film, kind of like 'The Karen Carpenter story' Or 'The Bruce Lee story' etc. Every therapist, psychologist, NLP practitioner would want to see it.

I agree in general. But of course, there already are already several films of which you speak. One is on my page. I would take it a step further. Where is a good role model for tomorrow's generation? The general public should absolutely be aware of the greatest healer America has ever seen. What greater service could be rendered? Not just for "licensed psychotherapists", but everyone. Especially in our age of deception and greed, Erickson is like water in the desert. Really. Erickson STANDS at HEART for unity in a world of diversity. For others to discover and witness (vicariously) that it is possible to overcome impossible odds, and in the process revealing the meaning of life -- what service could be greater? Who will they turn to instead? "No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house." (Matthew 5:15) ~*~ From LETTERS OF MILTON ERICKSON Jay Haley writes: "The problem in the case is to make the situation more dramatic.... Let me know what you think about my using [your] case and whether you would be interested in letting me dramatize some of your other cases if I ever become a big wheel in television." Erickson responds: "I really hesitate to give permission. I don't like TV presentations, and so many of the presenters are more interested in the "art" than the values involved. Sorry to be such a wet blanket." ~*~ That being said, we are talking about a biographical film of the man's life for a general audience, not a soap opera. But I included this quote because it is somewhat relevant and shows his values.

That bit about NLP and Bandler & Grindler just further proves that NLP is a joke. You can't really copy & replicate a genius because they are one of the kind that are unique to themselves. And Milton Erickson was certainly unique.
