It was so nice to see Erice through your eyes. I was there for the first, and only time, in 2009. It was certainly a magical place and I hope to get back there one day.

I just really appreciate these videos....the scenery, your interations...I was telling my sister about this channel I watch (yours, of course) she hollered "Oh, I watch them too!" Great video! My wife, son and I go to the Trapani region every few years because her dad’s family is from there. Erice is a jewel. It is also great to go in the evening to see the sunset. Erice looks like a place where a spaghetti western could have been filmed.

We loved Erice as well (and Maria Grammatico's of course). We stayed in Trapani, which has an amazing central area. The salt pans are terrific and so is a trip to the Egadi islandss. To this day, I regularly make pesto di Trapani

videos of Sicily are a mix of culture and food because not all places offer everything! many people make these stops when they go to Sicily and so for people who don't know what to do we try to show what they can expect from the place and decide whether to stop there or not! the Sicily series is about to end 2 videos left! then there will be a personal series of what is happening to us at the moment and then a series of northern Italy with food and places that no one knows about! the channel will be dedicated to 1) personal videos 2) food in Italy and USA 3) Travel in Italy in tourist and non-tourist places Thank you very much for leaving us your opinion, un saluto from Alessio 😃

Have you two spent time in Puglia-in Alberobello, where the trulli are? I’d love to see your take on them. When thinking of magic, they come to mind.

A lot of churches even in America have the beautiful blue on the ceilings with gold leaf stars that you mention!

If you could leave the text maybe an extra 2 seconds more, I would have time to read the whole thing and see the image especially when there are hard words (like names) to read. Some might say 2 seconds is not a lot but it does make a difference (I have made YT videos in the past😊) Keep the videos coming! Always enjoy watching them ❤

Oh man! I cannot get enough of your videos. So grateful for this as I doubt I will ever be able to visit. I have a random question, hopefully you see this! Do you guys have a trusted website that you can purchase Italian goods from? Like flour? Good quality Italian flour! I already buy intimio olive oil every couple of months because of your recommendation, but would like to venture out and get flour since I bake so much. The music in this video is WOW so fitting.

Le ricche famiglie di Erice trasmettevano il proprio patrimonio solo al figlio maggiore, ai minori rimaneva da scegliere tra diventare soldati o farsi ordinare preti, in quest'ultimo caso esercitavano il sacerdozio nella chiesa di famiglia e questa è la ragione per cui ci sono così tante chiese ad Erice. Alessio, se ti ricorda il "maso chiuso" non sbagli. Grazie per avermi ricordato la pasticceria Gramatica.

Be careful of how one dresses in the Churches. These aren't mythical palaces they are holy places dedicated to the worship of God. No shorts or backless or low-cut dress. I carry a little top to put over my atms, etc. when entering them.
