Jackson is a gorgeous and well loved cat and I find his antics delightful! Another great tutorial, Erica. 💕😊🇦🇺
Idk how I missed this video, I’ve never seen it! In general tho, I have to say that my Jax and the bloopers at the end most videos are always my favorite part. Lol
I sewed along with you this evening, starting and stopping when I needed to. Your pace and timing are really great. I love this bucket bag. I think I’ll make a couple more for holiday gifts for the knitters and crocheters in my life. Thank you for sharing your tremendous talents with us. Well done!!
Wow! You did an incredible job explaining little details that some instructors leave out. I really appreciate when you point out sizes of seam allowances, when to backstitch, how to mark things, how to use products, what types of fabrics and materials to use, etc. Fantastic job!
My cats help me too so I enjoyed Jack's participation. Also enjoy your videos.
Erica , you make it look so easy that I think I could whip up a bag so quick and fast! I enjoy you tutorials!
I made 2 of these yesterday for grocery/shopping bags. I used them today and they were great 😁 thank you so much for the free videos and especially putting the fabric and other requirements in the link below the video🐥🐤🐣 that is more helpful than you will ever know for us old timers who don't do all the tech stuff ❤️ God bless you ✝️
Jax makes the video hysterical.. Love your videos. You have taught me so much. Thank you for creating these videos.
I have been binge watching your videos, you explain SO WELL. I am inspired to get my sewing machine out again
Oh this is just what I needed! I am going to make so many of these. :) (Love the cat assistance too.)
Well, this was fun! Love the bag...and your kitty!😊❤️
This showed up on my feed at a perfect time. I need to make these for my sisters for their knitting projects for Christmas. Great instructions
Thank you Erica! You always do an amazing job explaining every step. You make it look so easy, that I feel confident that I can do it, too! I am looking forward to making some of these. Thanks again, and hugs to Jax. 😊♥️🐈
Hi, Erica! I made another one of these totes because: 1). They are just the right size for projects! and 2). I love Jack. I do not like cats, but Jack is an exception! What a fellow!
Such a great sew-along tutorial. Great pace and lots of tips. Thank you
I love this tutorial and your fabric choices. Thanks for sharing
What a great video! Love your bubbly personality, clear instructions, and of course, Jacks:)
I love watching your video's, you always have good ideas and you explain step by step instructions that are very easy to understand. Keep up the good work. Thanks for all your videos.

Great tutorial. You are a very good teacher. Very clear. Jax is a good helper too. Thanks!
Your instructions are so easy to follow and your projects are wonderful. The sewing machine mat is on my to-do list. Now I'm adding this wonderful basket to my list as well.
Thanks for sharing ❤️ I love your tutorials, they are realy practical and easy. I made your small tote bag with the quilted pocket for my friend and my daughter. They both loved it. Happy sewing God bless. 🙏
I loved watching you make this bag. I am gonna make one. Thank you for the video.
Your fabric choices beautiful!!
Your fuzzy assistant is the cutest!
You are an amazing teacher. I have never had the patience for sewing. My mom always sewed but me not much. Just some simple Christmas stocking over 15 years ago. I'm slowly trying your little projects and I appreciate how you make it feel simple. I have anxiety and OCD and you make sewing fun and easy. Thank you so much. Oh and as a momma to 4 furbabies I just love when we get to see yours!!!
Love this thank you! However I love everything you do! You are such amazing teacher! I love Jax too he is so cute! I love how he helps you he is a amazing helper!!

I really enjoy your videos and learn something new. Love Jack. He's so handsome 😍.
I just finished one of these! Not nearly as professional looking as yours, but not bad for a beginner! Thanks for providing these tutorials. I know others have said this, but you do a great job explaining and showing. I print out your PDFs as well and it’s very easy to follow along with both. I enjoy sewing with you!
Love the cat. And your teaching of coarse.
Erica, does are great instructions. I'm going to tha fabric store tomorrow 🤗

Hi! Yes Bandit is great, I need to take more pictures of him :)
One of the great things about the Juki is when you lift off the pedal, the needle goes to the down position, making it easier to just turn your corner. I thought the lever for the presser foot would be awkward, but it's not 💓😎
Brilliant tutorial, thank you!
Another great bag!!
the cat lol my 3 years old daughter is laughing so much at the end lol
Outstanding video!
Love this bag Erica. Thank you. Jax certainly isn't camera shy is he?
Thank you very much for this tutorial!!!! It is a gorgeous bag love the fabric!!! Jacks almost got you!! I love him🥰 How do you stay so tan it is so pretty on you!!!
Cats... i love them!
Brilliant! Thank you.
Great video love your cat x
Very cute bag
Great video!
Love it
Love it!
Made it, turned out great. You are a good teacher. I have made everyone of your videos. Can you show me a tote that opens flat that holds men’s bath products.
YOUR KITTY!!! xoxo
Excellent video as always! Thank you! Just a quick question: I was always taught to press my seams open and I noticed you don’t. Is there a reason to do it or is it just a preference?
loved the cat
I was taught this trick where you leave the opening to turn your pocket out, if you will pivot and sew off the fabric instead of back stitching it will make those edges automatically turn in and makes it very easy when closing up that opening. LoL! I hope that made sense. English teachers are cringing right now....LoL... run on for days....
Super 👌💞
I see bag making in my future.. lol
I love this bag! It is soooooo easy. I have made 4 so far and given as gifts. I would like to make some for craft fairs to feed my quilt addiction since it is so quick and easy. I am just not sure what a good price would be for them. Any suggestions?

Gosh, I'm never good at that. I would take into consideration your supply costs plus your time :)
Hi Erica, I have a question on measurements. In the PDF it says the lining should be 20.5”x13.25” which is .5” more than the 20” of the outside fabric and the interfacing pieces. In the description of the video it says all of the pieces should be 20”. Which should I use? Thank you!
Hi
What sewing machine would you recommend for a begginer someone please help I'm lost at trying to choose one

Hi, I have a post here that might help, it depends on what you're using it for. If you want a regular home sewing machine, I would go with something like this: amzn.to/2HnF2Yj If you're planning to just do quilting and want a machine you can quilt on as well I would suggest the Juki TL2000Qi: amzn.to/2ZnWKRy Here's my post with features and info: www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/blog/2015/04/how-to-get-started-quilting-part-2-best-sewing-machines-for-beginners.html
Just curious... In the frame where you are showing the placement of the pocket, your lining fabric looks bigger than what is specified in the instructions. Is there a difference?

Sorry, I think I changed the size after filming and forgot to re-film the lining piece. Go by the PDF instructions.

Which dimensions were used for the bag shown in the tutorial? My bag/tote seemed smaller than yours. And was there a reason you changed the size? Thank you, I enjoy your tutorials!
Hey there Erica. I cannot find the instructions for what size to cut the pieces for this tote in the “show more” at the bottom of the tutorial

Erica, is the stabilizer foam?
@erica_arndt
2 жыл бұрын
I used a heavy weight stabilizer for this bag, but you can definitely use foam too!

@@erica_arndt What do you consider heavyweight? Fusible? Im so lost lol
In the description it says the lining pieces should be 20" x 13.25", but in the video they look bigger than that. Am I missing something?

Hi, follow the directions in the PDF download and video description box. I probably updated the measurements to get the size to where I want it.
Why put the interfacing in the liner and not the main fabric? I will be using 💯 percent Cotton for both.
@erica_arndt

I did put the interfacing on the outside fabric.
