I guess I should’ve shot Lucien. Why does the game manipulate my decision-making by calling it “murder him”. Killing someone and murdering someone are too different things. Detroit become human had similar situations; I hate that.

I think Erica is the killer, I just finished the game and the thing that convinced me Erica is the killer when she had a vision of herself in blood and when her father said "Erica, it's you", so i really think Erica is the psychopath killer, so i get the ending where she's being sedated in hospital and became patient😂 This story have so much similarity with the shutter island and fraction when the whole movie's story plot is just in main character head, and they are the crazy one, gosh i love plot twist movies

SPOILERS I've completed it twice and thought she might be the killer. It seems logical when you think about who died: chief inspector (only other person in the building); her dad (only one there and - as you point out - he says "it was always you"). In one ending Lucien says they exhumed the body and the lady (forget her name) was there and has been dead for 20 years

Erica doesn’t look sedated obviously Dr Ballard and Lucien put her on medications to calm the hallucinations and auditory hallucinations and psychosis. I do think she has to be sedated at times and restrained at times because if you look at some of Erica drawings they look like Erica drew it while she was agitated or angry.

I don't think she became a prisoner. I think she was hallucinating. She saw Mia dressed as a nurse in front of her. for me Erica was going crazy. He just used sedative on her, because she was threatening other people's lives. This is what they do to a patient who can act violently.

Lin the disappearance/ death of her mother was driving her insane, so I really don’t know who is bad in this game. Delphi house, the murderer or the cult. They’re all bad in ways but all have reasons. I think they were trying to help Erica get over her moms disappearance but also using her for the cult

@@ericthompson3253 In one way, when Tobi freaks out and gets very violent, the woman quickly pulls out a soothing needle for her. Apparently they all have it. I think she was really freaking out. The only thing I'm not sure about yet is Mia's existence. The end in which she appears as a nurse I already convinced myself is hallucination of Erica. But until the moment she "dies" I still haven't decided if she was real and faked her death or hallucination. The best explanation I find for this whole story is that Mia went crazy when she heard about Erica's mother's death and blamed the hospital for it. Somehow managed to fake her death and created this theory in her head, after all, she was a patient in a psychiatric hospital. I still have some holes to fill. But the more I look about it, the more I am convinced that the cult and the whole story is not what it seems. The game indicates that Erica is not in a good mental state before she even arrives at the hospital. This gives me a big reason to not trust in the senses of the main character of a psychological horror game / movie. Since our senses and emotions are not fully reliable. As you said yourself, I believe she couldn't handle the death of her mother and father.

And a funny fact that I realized after watching many, many videos from many, many different scenes: The drink Tobi says she made in one scene is made of oleandrin, which she steals from the drugstore. When Delphus is invaded and the cop has to go there, when you go back to Delphus and if you ask the right question, he said it was nothing and it was Tobi breaking into the drugstore. Oleandrin is the substance present in hospital flowers. It is the substance that should probably be released in the production of perfume. And that's what's inside the tubes when Erica finds the altar with her mother's favorite photo. If you go along with the cop, he'll alert you and say "beware, this is a powerful hallucinogen".

And Oleandrin is a substance used to treat heart problems, but it can be fatal depending on the amount. It causes the heart to stop beating if ingested too much. Which may explain their nosebleeds.

This ending is so creepy I think 😂

Bro this game was messing with my emotions so much. I wasn’t sure who to believe. Mia or the hospital. I was like wait, who’s insane? Me? Or Mia?😂

I got very lucky not killing Tobi. I wasn’t even paying attention of what drug to use that woman said. Took a gamble and saved her and got the good ending my first play through

on the contrary, IT WAS THE BEST ENDING! YOU SAVED HER. SHE WAS SICK. it was really like what happened in shutter island where we all fooled and now we fooled again. I hate the feeling that the story is messing around with you. waiting for you to reach the end, Watching you to finally get the whole point of the story behind a psychopath and her sick brain. It's kinda cool in a way but wasting time. As the credits in other ending say: you embraced her madness (such a foolish you are!) Got me feel like I'm the one who is psycho. Likewise, The ending of burning the house doesn't make sense neither You are still mentally ill! see: A serial killer, Got her job successfully done with cutting the guard artery with a knife, killing two people with a gun, And at last setting the house on fire and releasing the other patients to fled! Yeah you know what I'm saying. The best ending is to refuse all of the offers! and get a lifetime rest under treatment in Delphi House.

And i'll tell you this in 4:15 i ask for the door and answered me a poor excuse then when i demand to open it he refuse with another cheap excuse, if he is saying the truth, it was the most suicidal honesty since Jackes Peru in The council.

But giving her wrong drug was insane :| (You are a real psychopath🤣) There is no happy ending. You have been prisoning for a long time. Cuz you are guilty of murdering your father. (My perspective) she were years in delphi hospital for treatment. But as an adult She came back and made a massive mess with her imaginary dead friend. :/

If I ask something, pointing a gun to who I'm asking and that person REFUSES to give me what I demanded, that person clearly is hiding something. He died on his own choices, "protecting" his fucking shit until the end, saying to her that what lies behind that is a stockroom. What tha hell? It doesn't make any sense what you saying, fren!

It was my first:(

I tried to figure out Erica but I think Erica is supposed to be this mysterious person I think when her mother died she couldn’t handle her death and that’s when the schizophrenia got worse and Erica thought her father killed her mother or locked her away. The priestess and the fire story is probably another hallucination to escape from reality. Also from what we know even when her father was alive Erica didn’t have friends and I think when her father died and Erica went to an orphanage it got worse she had no friends so Erica had to make up her own friends in her mind. Erica probably even made up a fantasy where her mother never died and the doctors are trying to tear apart each fantasy to push Erica back into reality but maybe Erica isn’t very cooperative in the treatments and isn’t medication compliant. Plus I think Erica has schizophrenia as a child but schizophrenia is hard to diagnose in children. So Erica seeing ghosts as a child, that could be seen as very imaginative or a big imagination. I think the father found out Erica had schizophrenia but it was too late. I also think at the end Lucien and Sgt. Blake and Dr.Ballard all knew Erica was the killer but also has a mental illness and Erica was running out of choices and options of what to do so either accept treatment and be committed to Delphi house voluntarily OR be committed involuntarily where treatment is forced and Erica is restrained and sedated OR Erica kills everyone in Delphi house to be free. So really it’s a catch-22.

I got this ending on accident... Like i STRONGLY felt like he was right but i became a prisoner

So there is a cult in collaboration with the hospital that can tell the future but only if they have a fox, a rabbit and another I can't remember 😂 but to actually see the future they need a butterfly. The problem is that only erica and her mum are butterflies and as her mum is about to die they need to brainwash erica and get her to be the butterfly.

the cult butterfly thing is totally made up in her imagination. she only dreams of it after someone told her or she saw something. the cult idea with the animals was given her from tobi which is as well pretty insane and the magical looking in the future was a story her father told her when she was a kid. -> Erica is a insane delusional paranoid schizophrenic serial killer. "it always was you" is a reference to this. she killed her own father, neighbours and much more. There is no greene doing the killings. Greene is a alter ego of hers always stepping in from behind when she couldnt do the kill herself. watch again when greene steps in, its always this symbolic comeing directly from behind erica as if she materializes from her. Also the face of greene she could only see when the detective actually showed her pictures from her. Greene never touches or interacts with the environment, she tells erica to do the things. the truth is, the hospital is just a hospital, there is nothing special about it, except that this hospital got some really really bad cases of insanity. everything the other people (non patients) tell you is true. and everything the patients tell you is made up insanity. people believe the film makers made it open ended but they actually did not. in the butterfly ending they write it on the screen "she embraced her insanity". if you piece it all together its a pretty dark version of shutter island. the real good ending is when she accepts her illness and doesnt kill the black guy. you cantell by the warm colors of the picture and also the warm music in the end where her was forgiven and she got a new family. she will not leave the assylum but she is free in it and has family. the worst ending is when she burns down the assylum, kills everyone in it and roams free afterwards. you got a insane serial killer on the loose who will take more lives. funny thing is, everyone favors this ending ... which is a pretty good job by the filmmakers to implant the ideas of a insane serial killer in your head, so much that you empathise and rationalize in her crazy world. even when given the choice to murder the directory they explicitly wrote "murder" and not "kill" or "shoot". i myself on first playthough didnt even hesitate, i was sure i wanted to shoot him before i even got the option. BUT fellas, watch the game from beginning again and keep in mind that this is all her insanity and now you will see it is not open ended but pretty obvious. this is really really awesome movie/game. it shows how our selective perception works and how everyone will become a killer with the right beliefs. if you play it a 2nd time, you cannot believe the choices you made in the first run. AWESOME
