Banjo great Eric Weissberg died on March 22, 2020. He was 80. Best known for his 1973 rendition of "Dueling Banjos," the soundtrack for the movie, "Deliverance," Weissberg was a multi-instrumentalists, a professional session musician, and a member of many bands. In September 2012, filmmaker Jim Carrier interviewed Weissberg at his home in Woodstock, NY. for the film, "The Librarian and The Banjo." He discussed his musical life, and the back story of his gold record. The interview began in his yard as thunderstorms rolled across the Catskills, and was moved to a porch.
