I attended Stadium High School and graduated in 1965. I loved every minute there The view and unique architecture made a perfect setting for many good memories. I loved the diversity of students, the excellent teachers, the many class choices, as well as activities and clubs for any students interests. For me, my highlight was singing in a small Madrigal group led by Mr. Margelli. We had Elizabethan costumes and sang Elizabethan music which we performed in various locations in Tacoma and at the high school. Also, for me the exchange student program was exciting; to meet students from other countries and to have the opportunity to travel, to Germany, as I did. My family also hosted a student from Germany and we are close friends to this day. I can not imagine a better high school anywhere! Mary Kay Jordan ( O'Reilly)

Thank you for this great piece on Stadium. I was in the class of 1970 and was married on the courtyard in 2020. It was a fabulous, fairytale wedding, with my 91 yo dad walking me across the courtyard. Our class remains so close that we have had a reunion every 5 years. I've been on the committee for every one. We now meet every month just because. We also now have an informal meet up with the whole class annually. We feel very special to be a part of that iconic castle. There really is something special about it. Thank you again

They filmed 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU (1999) in this location, this was used as Padua High School.

And hopefully it never gets torn down for one reason or another.

I knew it as "stay dumb" high school. Nowhere is it better to run the stairs. Best view of the bay. I wasn't the one that threw the firecrackers out of the boys' restroom window. Can I get an elevator pass?

Sure Teddy Roosevelt is great, but too bad Eric didn't mention arguably on of Stadium's greatest alums: Herman Brix, 1928 Olympic Gold medal winner who went on to Hollywood, playing Tarzan, and Joan Crawford's husband in Mildred Pierce, as Bruce Bennett..
