Eric is a true master. I was lucky enough to see him in a small club around 1993 or 94. He was amazing. He’s from Texas by the way.

The first time I heard this on regular radio when it came out I went straight to the record store and bought the CD. I still have it and still listen to this masterful wizardry by Eric. Nice reactions from both of you.

I read that the outfit he has on was his band uniform in high school he’s from Austin Texas. I think his father is a medical doctor. Phenomenal guitar player from another planet.

See if you can find the G3 YT video of My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Momma. Features Johnson, Steve Vai and Satriani. Yes, those two are as good as Johnson. Not better, but as good in their own way. And the song is wonderful for showcasing the different sound and approach to playing each of the three has.

He’s in my top 3 guitarist. 🎸 You should listen to some of his albums each one is so different from the last. I have all and still listen to them all the time.

Actually Ricky purchased this hat from a military benefit group as a way to support them. He then added it to his hat collection. You will see that Ricky has worn over 300 caps in our various videos. We appreciate your sentiments, and we honor all who have served in the military.

Eric's abilities on guitar are out of this world, I'd like to thank the aliens who planted him here with us on earth! Lol. He is also a fine pianist. Writes his own music and songs. Checkout the song Manhattan, my personal favorite, very jazzy, kinda Wes Montgomery sounding. Don't know where you're at in Tennessee, I'm in Morristown, east of Knoxville. The most impressive thing about Eric is, he is such a a humble human being (if he is in fact human) lol again! But he always does on other players, even cover players on KZread. Don't forget the try to checkout Manhattan, he also has lots of other really good tunes, both electric and acoustic, hope you enjoy some of them, bless you all❤

Late to the review but it was great. Yes it’s a 1954 Fender Stratocaster. He named it “Virginia” I believe the bridge pickup was the only thing he changed from the original. He may have put a 5 way selector switch on it. The original was a 3 way switch. Modern strats have a 5 way. Back then (1950’s) they had to find the sweet spot or use broken toothpicks to keep the switch between settings to use dual pickup tone.
