Eric Bellinger Details His Experience Working On Beyonce's Album

Ойын-сауық

www.vladtv.com - Musician Eric Bellinger has quite the resume. Currently working on "The Documentary 2" with Game, Eric has arranged dozens of tracks for some of the top artists in the game right now, but unfortunately, as he'll explain, a majority of the time him or any other producer's work just won't make the cut. "I had six songs on Beyonce's album before it came out, then when it came out I had none," he recalls.
Picture this: 20 people getting flown out to Jay Z and Beyonce's Hamptons' mansion to record a secret album. That was Bellinger's life at one point, as he spent three weeks with Beyonce and the rest of her writing camp before the release of her self-titled surprise album in 2013. Along with other top-tier songwriters and producers like Benny Blanco, Eric Bellinger wrote over 30 songs over the three-week span in his bedroom that came equipped with his own personal studio. Unfortunately in the end, none of Eric's tracks were used on the album since Bey's teamed "changed direction on the album," but he tells us "just the experience alone changed my life."
Watch the interview above to hear about him and Jay Z' s ping-pong battles, his time in London working with Rihanna, and how he feels he has an advantage over other songwriters in this compelling exclusive.

Even if Beyoncé has 2000+ writers she still has that it factor that obviously non of these writers or so called producers can perform or create to make it sell. She is the advertisement she is the product it's business and it's the music business and all of it is experience and creativity being brainstormed it's called art.

people in the comments section have something against teamwork. Whitney barely wrote any of her songs. MJ, like Beyoncé, wrote more earlier on his career after that, he also had a lot of song writers. none of them were "robbed", experience with working with Beyoncé, is something that can get you farrrrr. And you get money in song writing credits. She did the vocal production, adding melodies and lines to the songs. Y'all really don't know much about the music industry but have sooooo much to say

So why do most people make a big deal out of rappers having writers which is the basically the same thing singers have. People try to point out that it's wrong in rap but its ok in RnB. But little do they understand ghostwriting will always be a part of rap because it was always part of the birth of rap.

It takes a team to make a hit, and that can't be left to chance, at that level of the game, it doesn't make sense unless there is a definite return on investment, especially when it's hard to even sell any units at all. Better be enough hits that will be able to support a lengthy tour. That's the only way to get that money bac.

What is everyone complaining about?? She was never secretive about working with different writers and collaborating with producers. We've seen footage from the Hamptons from when she was recording. You guys will find anything to complain about. Everyone who was on the album was credited. So what's the problem? You guys make it seem like she kidnapped these writers and held a gun to their heads or something. All these talented people coming together to create something should be celebrated not looked down upon.

That just shows how uneducated people are when it comes to situations like this. I don’t know how the industry works either, but I’m not going to pass judgment on something I know nothing about. I love how y’all haters are acting like this is some big reveal. Beyoncé has an entire 5 video documentary that she released when that album was released. It’s on KZread. She talked about the writing camp. Sia, Jay, Timbaland, Pharrell, and JT were all in the camp. It’s no secret that she has writers. She contributes to small lyrical changes, but she does a lot of the vocal arrangement and all the vocal production, hence she gets songwriting credits. This is not a secret, or even an industry anomaly.
