Eric Adams (MANOWAR) - Interview - Outdoor Adventures & Hunting and the Legacy of Manowar
Episode starts with German introduction; the English interview itself starts at 3:32 minutes.
Eric Adams is world famous as the singer of the legendary American heavy metal band Manowar. Besides music however, another passion shapes his life: his love for nature, wildlife and hunting.
This is what this episode of Weltwach is all about: Eric Adams tells how his father once showed him the wilderness for the very first time, remembers his most curious hunting experiences and talks about the quiet magic of a dawning day in the forest. He also discusses with Erik Lorenz what he understands as responsible hunting - and which memories are most dear to him when thinking back to his four decades-long career with Manowar.

True story. Long time ago in Czech republic I (with my friends) we traveled from Slovakia to show. We were in first in the building so we managed to be in first row during the show. After concert finished we went to hotel bar and when we sit on the chairs by counter, somebody tapped me on shoulder. I turned and it was Eric... he said "I remember you from the show" It was amazing, after that Joey came too, and Scott (RIP) and Karl too... they sit with us there for an hour maybe, we talker like they knew us for whole life! We have signed tickets, Tshirts (from everybody) and I was lucky to see myself in "I Believe" video too. Eric is THE GOD OF METAL SINGERS I hope I will have a chance to hear many new albums

I like that about them, they're all very intelligent and down to earth.
This is absolutely one of the best interviews ever done to an artist! Thanks!
I really love these kind of interviews, no bullshit stuff here. I appreciate the honesty about Manowar. The part about being ethic when you are alone and no one is watching is a life lesson i will gladly give to my son - thank you Lou. I wish this guy talked more and joey talked less. equilibrium! See you in Greece man!
Respect
Killer interview...thanx for sharing!

Great interview! \m/
What a great dude he is! 👍
The best ever to do it. Great interview.
Super! Danke :)
So much love and respect for that guy! “Wildlife and Wild Times” got me into bow hunting. Here in Germany it’s banned unfortunately… but when I’m in the US or out east I always go. Since I became technically a vegan I of course don’t take much game anymore… but I still go tracking, stalking, taking pictures and the odd buck every other year. “Mountains”, “Lament” and “Spirit Horse” seem to be humming in my head every time! H&K
A KING!
One of the greatest singers in the industry.
Joey is writing a rock opera? And Eric recorded an EP? WTF Are there tickets available already? And where can I buy the CD?
Wie kriegt man denn bitte die Ehre ihn in sein podcast zu bekommen?🤔😁

Ah, lol, just noticed this isn't a music-channel at all. Carry on.
I too love the outdoors Eric (Lou), would love you to show me around your hunting spots 😊❤. Would love to chat if you ever have the time!!
Hey, someone please explain to me. I am really interested in the answer. Does Eric Adams, the vocalist of one of my favorite bands, really hunt for fun? Is it? Is it that what I am hearing? Please, explain it to me because I am confused. Did he say that he loves wildlife and that's why hunts? Really? Please, I am being completely honest, I am not being sarcastic at all. Is that possible? To love animals and kill them? Please, I need someone to explain this to me. I can't understand how can it be. Thank you guys.

We recorded - in this podcast episode and another one - overall three hours of interview, answering all of your questions in-depth, e.g. how and why, from his perspective being a hunter and being a lover of wildlife and nature at the same time, is not contradiction. I suggest you give it a listen if you really want to know 🙂

@@WELTWACH Thank you man. Yes, I will listen to both of them very hark. I just listened half this episode because it gave me some sad and uncomfortable feelings, but I think the effort is worthy, for he seems a really friendly person, and there must be interesting and complex thoughts on that matter. I will make sure to understand well his perspective, but maybe even then, I will keep feeling that sadness. I don't know. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to answer my question. You have been very kind.

he may look like that. But I think he really live with manowar and metal! And because of it Manowar is still here after so many years. He may have let others to take the wheel, but its his (and Eric) band. He made Manowar a legend, Kings of Metal for so many many people! One may not like the style or his ... pompousness :D but he has achieved so so much for the band I am big fan of their music for looong time and they have never dissapointed me so far. (except that thing with Logan last year) Nothing is for everybody :D

It's funny. Manowar plays less than any band and the interviewer seems to act like they are touring non stop..maybe 20 days a year!
