Paulius Miškinis Star Trek and Twilight Zone were not the first to discuss it. Philosophers were the first to do so. Ergo Proxy happens to gave a much better portrayal of those philosophers than Star Trek and Twilight Zone.

This anime has such an addictive and atmospheric environment. I can't get enough of it. The English voice acting did a phenomenal job as well. Especially O'Brian who voiced Vincent.

this anime. literally change my life. before this i was accommodated into a fairly common life in middle school. going into classes like a pre stated mind of "im going to learn what i must to get a job". after it it grew in me what i wanted, discovered the world of the uncommon, the ideas outside my box, understood the meaning of comfort zone, and made me think what i really wanted. and i wanted to create not just only do to get money to get food to eat and to live. call me stupid, or a weirdo. but this alone made me awake from that robotic life we are in and forced to live through with a painted face of what other people expect.

lasarousi yeah man, i was doing the same thing my whole life, video games, anime, whatever. its pretty amazing, honestly and unfortunately, it is kinda rare, at least its not the majority of westerners who realize this thing in their life. Like you said, most pursue a prepaired path without questing why. At some point, if you continue, you'll find that you don't have to look outside of yourself, but you can sit somewhere and reflect on your own life to find immense meaning. good work man. :)

Karl Hans I don't think so since they didn't "officially" model Re-l off of her, just her "likeness."

You really have to watch this carefully to understand every aspect of story and motive, but when all pieces come together It's just amazing. Anime in general feels just so unique and deep.

This is art and greatly exceeds anything I've ever seen. Fantastic, just fantastic.

I liked it but, it's a very confusing Anime, you're always sitting there wondering what just happened. About the protagonist: no she's as competent as everyone else and i didn't notice too much arrogance, except for one small part but it's okay in that part and if anything it adds to the scene. Give it a try and if you don't like it, that's no problem it's pretty weird. (and it doesn't get any clearer throughout the series except for the last episode.)

Watched this anime twice. I got surprised at how much you can understand of the entire story just paying 100% attention to the first two episodes (which gave the second go a new pleasure heh). Not that the "typical anime" types are bad, but its sad to see how few of real mature (good) anime is out there. Good job on the vid, gave me the chills haha ^^

One of my favourites anime, it's completely brilliant

At the time this came out I was just getting into anime and was into the dark gloomy settings like this. No doubt if only I'd known about this anime I'd glued to it.

2:04 is better the way she turns and it gets dark. it's just amazing

surprisingly, this anime inspired me not to conquer the world or anything, but to get in shape haha, i lost 17 kilos after watching it just because of how cool and badass Vincent looked, hence my KZread name haha best anime in my list, most unique anime as well along side Texhnolyze .

Seems like a mix from Elfen Lied and Psycho Pass and it has also something from Blade Runner 2049 (not an anime). I guess I need to watch this

@@ziptagthesnake You can link Monad with Elfen Lied, there is some small similarities with what happened to Lucy in Elfen Lied and Monad in Ergo Proxy even if the two anime are different, I loved Elfen Lied too but I think it could have gone further (not only in episodes number but the plot itself as well), it lacked a rape scene and some physical abuse considering the story but the psychology is awesome.

Another awesome and still underrated anime.

Deus Ex's soundtrack as a whole is epic.

wow. tHIS looks pretty good. I saw like 5 minutes of an episode a couple years ago and thought it was boring, but I will give it another try.

Le chara-design est sublime et original, les personnages sont attachant pour la plupart (surtout Pino) et charismatique (Vincent, Lil), l'ost est merveilleuse et met parfaitement dans cet ambiance Cyberpunk - Post-apocalyptique ou règne le chaos et l'inconnue (l'opening ainsi que l'ending sont wouah !). Je recommande cet animé aux fans de science-fiction et de thriller psychologique ;) A+ !! U should remade this video, but lower the music when they talk, and up when they aren't talking, will still mantain the atmosphere of the video. But video is cool though, that is the only complain the music volume.
