Enjoying these guides since its from ptr and is more likely to be what live is then older guides.

i think the shadow nova targets a player that has the highest threat other then the tank(maybe 2nd to 5th?). Back in the days we killed Alythess first and then the shadow nova always targeted a healer.

If you iceblock conflag cast immediately - does it still go off and wipe the raid? Or do you still want to run out and then block AFTER the cast?

Question : In p2, when ranged jumps down, do they neey to get into the fire to reset shadow stacks ?

Does Confounding Blow get interrupted by damage taken by any chance, similar to blind? And I imagine Conflagration can't be line-of-sighted, right?

My guild is planning on using me as Aly tank. Can I use Nether Protection or will she behave like Capernian?

As a tank you can use living action potion to get rid of the disorient if you need more threat

Pvp trinket doesn't work on the confounding blow which sucks

Our raid is probably bringing 3 priests, is it worth having a disc priest for pain suppression on some of the tank mechanics?

Yeah, if you run 3 healing priests, having one go disc and functioning as more of a tank healer while the other 2 raid heal with COH would be a good idea.

For us, the 2nd in aggro gets Conflag about 50% of the time, and it's pretty annoying.

Casters have to jump down to clear conflag then have to run all the way back up?

no you can just run backwards on the platform up top. Just make sure you are 8 yards away from anyone else. So you dont have to run far.

In your raid composition you mention "Holy". Does that mean Holy Priests or Holy Paladins or one of each? Presumably, it's two CoH priests right? No Holy Paladin?

No Joke, our tanks keep getting conflag. Our fire tank is fine, but I would say 70% of our attempts, have had conflag hit a sacro tank and has even timed with up with stunning the MT, leaving no tank at all on Sacro... We have clips showing that our 2nd tank is atleast 10-20% away from the third person on threat, but one of the two sacro tanks can still get it. We're guessing maybe there are spikes of threat that aren't being registered on the meters and those spikes are syncing with the moment conflag is targeted or casted, therefore picking a tank on third threat even though no one is seeing it on the meters. Any ideas??? was this something that was a problem in the past and gets fixed in nerf? other guilds having this issue?

So i asume the Tank for Alythess is wearing full fire res? or just normal geared?

No fire res, none of the damage is resistable.

Early on in the PTR stuff like SWD, sappers, slammers removed the touched debuffs, but just before the PTR closed they stopped working so I think the answer will be no.

​@@Joardee Slammers still work for removing shadow stacks (takes like 3s for the fire damage to tick). Super handy to have. They don't show up on logs and I'm guessing that's related to why they avoided the PTR change.

Can the Sacrolash tank be targeted by Conflagration?

No but the 2nd on threat can, which can cause both tanks to be disoriented at the same time. The boss then usually runs at the hunter/warlock sitting behind the tanks on threat

not worth it because Alythess will full heal once Sacrolash dies.

tanks can still get conflagration even if they are 2nd in threat.

can hunters feign death to interrupt conflagration casted on them?

I think he's implying that you should still move away from the raid because if it resists, assuming it even can interrupt, then you might not react fast enough to get out and avoid blowing up and wiping your raid.

Eh, if he currently has active CDs, then yes, it was a good blink.

Warlock tanking is actually griefing....especially casual guilds.

Warlock tanking worked for us, but using a prot paladin also works great. We liked having the extra .5 healer in the prot paladin but in the long run we'll definitely be dropping the warlock and using the paladin as the Alythess tank.

@@Joardee that's actually fucking brain dead dad guild thinking. Why didnt you just tell everyone to go down to the floor and spread out then? You can tank it with a hunter or any class....... the smartest, efficient, optimal, easiest way is a prot pally(which we know every guild has one)Giving advice to people that is sub par is cringe. So take away 2k dps from a warlock and add 400hps from a prot pally......when phase 1 is easier if you kill her faster. See how pepega that sounds when you actually read it? You're setting casual guilds up for failure when you tell them shit like this.
