Doctor i have mild venous leakage. Can i stop it from becoming severe venous leak and completely cure it with medicines, exercise, healthy diet? I'm also having depression, stress and anxiety for a long time. I'm 30 now. Would any of those psychological conditions i mentioned cause venous leak?

It is effective in 20%, because it cannot reach all leaks when used alone. As surgery alone does not succeeds more. This is why venous leakage has been considered an untreatable disease. Recently the game changer I have developed is combining surgery and embolization when controlling results by flexography and 80% success rate can be reached. I perform embolization alone in only 5% of my patients. Thank you for your precise questions.

Dear Joseph, young age does not prevent having this problem of venous leakage in which blood escapes too rapidly from penis to have rigidity. Having no morning Erection and no or unstable, or weak Érections are the symptoms. At 16, it can be very difficult to make a « self diagnosis » because of the absence of knowledge of what is a normal Erection. On the other hand, Erection failure once a wile is not a disease. @@behramkhan2630 thank you for your question. The results you refer to are based on surgical experience 20 to 30 yrs ago. Now surgery is performed 1. After a préopératoire work-up with duplex sonography, pharmacologic testing, computered tomography of penis venous system, all allowing for correct venous leakage identification and network visualisation 2. Utilisation of both endovascular-embolization and open microsurgery, 3. Post operative validation with penile duplex sonography and Pharma testing. We have published a paper in the European journal of vascular endovascular surgery in 2020 showing 70% of patients (with no efficient érections before surgery even with intracavernous injection) after one surgery, and 80% when a second surgery was needed. I have suffered psychological ED for 5-6 years but all it took was some viagra and boom it was fixed. Until late last year - I had about 8 months of chronic stress, overeating, money issues etc and last time I tried to have sex ED meds wasn’t that effective. Now we have medical tools capable to visualize the exact leakages mapping . This technique is very recent. Maybe it is the reason why your doctor isn’t aware about it.

As far as we know, yes. But it might be increased by factors such as low testosterone. This means that hormone deficiency if present (this is rare under 40 though), must be corrected before considering venous leak surgery. Dear Mr Jee, érections lost when changing position suggests venous leakage. The good way to go is to have an intracavernous injection of Alprostadil made by a doctor to see if érections occur when changing position and in the same time a duplex sonography looking at penile arteries AND veins.
