Bless her little heart ♥️ hope she is still progressing and living her best life. I am now 18 years old i have Erb’s palsy in my left arm I can put up my arm slightly I can move my pointer finger and my middle up and down and my thumb although my ring finger and pinky I don’t have full control my arm stays angled I can not straighten it nor can I not put my arm up. I can move my wrist and grab with my left hand but my bones are very fragile and because of my injury I grew to have arthritis and on and off pain more when it is cold, Since I was a baby I had physical therapy i had one of the worst case it was one of those situations where I had to get worse so I can get better and I say that because I can now except that I won’t be able to do the same activity as my friends and that okay yes I went through bullying and that’s ok yes I felt different but Its okay I grew to love myself and I was happy to be alive to be able to be independent and strong I hope she doing well and no matter what anyone says please tell her “she stronger than she thinks” 😊

I have erb's palsy of the right arm, Had surgery when i was 8. I am 29 years old now. Have limited rotation, A lot of pain through out it. It still doesnt bend at the elbow. Thank you for sharing, Didnt realize how many children and people have this disability like me.

My lil girl was born with it as well , I'm happy for ur lil angel she's getting better , mine on the other hand it doesn't seem we have such expertise here in Jamaica ..been two months and all that she got was one session of physiotherapy for like 20 mins

Mine was with it too but we took her to some local doctor who healed her with herbs

Was she able to move her hand fingers before the operation?

i have this in my left arm too. i don’t really know much about it but it was completely paralysed when i was born and i had to to have an operation at 5 months old. i’m 14 now and it still doesn’t go fully straight or work as much as my right arm

I have it too but I didn’t have the surgery. I went to therapy since I was 4 months up until now(I’m 19). It is still slightly bent and weaker than my right arm but I can still do many things without trouble

I have it in my right arm which was like yours; completely paralysed until I started doing physio but it took a while for me to move it on my own, I had no operations on my arm just physio. I know quite a bit about it so if you want to know a bit more about the condition just let me know :) x

In which month they did the operation

Amazing progress.. my niece is now 4 and had the same, she was also under Dr Quick's care, he is outstanding. Unfortunately my niece's right arm is not yet fully functioning as Dr Quick said she's had the worse case he has seen however she is making progress every day and tried ever so hard to use her right arm and hand. :)

I am 10 yrs old and have Erb’s palsy. I am also under Dr Quick’s care. I think he is an amazing doctor who knows what he is doing. Even though I have had many surgeries and more to come,I trust him very much with my arm (I have more trust in him than my mum)I have Erb’s Palsy on my right arm

@@chukwefamily7273 Me too, I'm 16 now but I had one surgery back when I was 5. Before that surgery I couldn't move my arm at all, years later, I can work it just fine with some limited elbow and wrist movement and a little numbness throughout some parts of my arm for which I'm getting another surgery in a month.

Hey my son has it and i would really need some help

I have Erb’s Palsy in my Right arm, I haven’t had any operations in my arm and I’m 20yrs old now and have movement in my arm. I’m seeing a physiotherapist and have been all my life, I manage with my arm being the way it is, I love horse riding and manage to do it perfectly. My arm doesn’t stop me doing what I want it just means I have to be careful and cheat :D Glad that Emily is managing after the operations she’s had as I know first hand how painful Erb’s Palsy can be especially in winter and cold days.

Hey Emilea, I’m 20 and have Erb’s Palsy in my right arm, too. Can we stay in contact in attempt to work together to strengthen our arms? I’ve been trying to strengthen my arm at home as well as straighten my elbow by just starting to do push ups (I couldn’t do any before as my right arm was hindered and my left arm would almost totally compensate).. if you’d like to talk more please respond!

Is your baby's affected hand is shorter than other hand??

We couldn’t figure out what was wrong. My son’s arm was weirdly stiff and his pediatrician said he’s just doing that out of habit. Just did some research and he has all the symptoms of erbs palsy. He’s 5 now. Hope there’s something that can be done now that he’s older. Will call his pediatrician in the morning
