Lyrics:
Open your eyes I see
Your eyes are open
Wear no disguise for me
Come into the open
When it's cold outside
Am I here in vain?
Hold on to the night
There will be no shame
Always
I wanna be with you
And make believe with you
And live in harmony harmony oh love
Melting the ice for me
Jump into the ocean
Hold back the tide I see
Your love in motion
When it's cold outside
Am I here in vain?
Hold on to the night
There will be no shame
Always
I wanna be with you
And make-believe with you
And live in harmony, harmony oh love
Always
I wanna be with you
And make-believe with you
And live in harmony, harmony oh love
When it's cold outside
Am I here in vain?
Hold on to the night
There will be no shame
Always
I wanna be with you
And make-believe with you
And live in harmony, harmony oh love
Always
I wanna be with you
And make-believe with you
And live in harmony, harmony oh love

"Please fulfil my request - I recognize that the result of my request, which is your understood inference of my desires, has been obliged" i.e. Please do - You did - I acknowledge whereas the intonation conveys the feeling behind each statement. "Please do" - "You did and I acknowledge" through the lens of emotional inference by ways of intonation becomes "I reach out - and you reciprocate". Might not be the artist's meaning, but in terms of extrapolating meaning from this sentence it feels rich and fertile.

Magical song. What a blessing to have grown up listening to this when it came out. The memories are so beautiful that it hurts. 💜

Nostalgia for MTV's golden era ...
Finally I found this! The song with a man and a woman doing some weird stuff on a white "garden" platform in the video! I even forgot the music, but I remembered it was great - and it is. My dad played this video years ago... I'm 23 and I'm glad I inherited music taste from my dad :)

My dad & my favourite band ❤️ now that hes gone i love to listen to this song to connect with him 💕 Ive never seen the music video before, love it 😍 its so erasure lol ❤️
Some bands stood out from the rest, for us it was Depeche Mode and Erasure. Loved those two the most, out of all the 80s music. I don't think either could even do any song that was bad or even mediocre. Combined with beautiful music and voices, Erasure has created an amazing sound and this song is just so good, as all of their music is. So uplifting and so filled with great memories of that time period.

Classic tune
I love songs like this, take you back to a point in time and all is right for a moment.
Remember listening to this song maybe once or twice on MTV when it came out and it left such a big impact the melody and video was with me for all this time, haunting me, without knowing the name of the song. Then 15 years later I finally found it by accident and I could finally make peace with this yearning of not knowing.
