There is a tool called the carpet shark. It's a 3 in 1 tool for spot treatments and debris removal. Also I would suggest a Teflon bra for your wand. Glides across carpet much easier. It's also a good idea to keep a bucket heatet on the truck incase you do a job with no hot water

Good question. When people say "steam cleaning" they almost always mean Hot Water Extraction. It's rare for people to use water so hot that it's actual steam. Yes the 200D is sufficient. It depends on the carpet type. For glue-down carpet (really low pile commercial stuff) you want as much power as possible. So a bigger portable or a truckmount would be ideal. We find that most of our revenue comes from residential, like 98%

The 200D is good enough for apartment hallway carpets. Some people would argue that you want a truckmount for glue-down carpet, but many commercial buildings don't have proper access for a truckmount anyways. Hot Water Extraction = Steam Cleaning in terms of marketing. No one actually uses steam, but customers google "steam cleaning" so we all have to bite our tongue and call our process Steam Cleaning even though it's technically Hot Water Extraction. I did exactly this years ago when I was starting, fitting a Ninja 500 in my 2002 Honda Civic Coupe (I don't exactly recommend it, but entrepreneurs are stubborn).You can generally remove the front passenger seat and fit the machine (I had to modify the door hinge a bit). I'd suggest either building a cardboard cutout first or ask a business to allow you to test seeing if it'll fit. In hindsight, financing a proper work vehicle is worth it. Helps with customer confidence, marketability, referrals, your personal confidence, etc. In Canada, everyone uses the Ninja machines because they're built here. I'm sure there are many good alternatives. Just look at the specs and build quality of the frame. Whatever you decide, try to take some deep breaths, purchase with a clear mind... build a setup that you can use for years without any regrets

I have the Esteam ninja 150, I'm happy with it, I was gonna get the 3 stage vacuum for the extra suction power, but thought having to find 2 separate circuits would be a problem,

It's 110lbs right? That's what I see on the brochure. The Ninja 200D is similar but 90lbs. I never used to care but I got injured playing hockey and so I needed a lighter machine to continue working. Haven't switched back since

You also want to spend the money on a quality soap and defoamer solution, the defoamer is very important as some soaps create a lot of foam and foam getting into the motor is bad

Our pre-spray is non foaming. But yes. The machines will actually suck up the soap from the waste tank and blow it out the bottom of the machine... So definitely gotta keep the foam down below the filter

What do you think about the TMI Blitz? I'm a maintenance man at a school and that's the machine they have. I like it but can't find any videos on it. Oh, and I agree. Heaters are a waste.

Couple minutes. If they have a pull out faucet in the kitchen you can put it right in the clean water tank. If not, I usually bucket from the bathtub (bigger pipe, faster)

I can rent the e600 for a little more than renting “the big green” made by bissell. Is the e600 way superior than the big green? Is it worth paying a little more to rent? Thanks!

It doesn't need to be boiling and generating steam. The method is actually called "Hot Water Extraction". The reason our business is called Mr. Steam instead of Mr. Hot Water Extraction is simply a marketing decision

Yeah it is. ESteam was purchased by Safety Express/Aramsco in 2018 (USA). We have franchises in the USA that use the ESteam Ninjas... Looks like you're from Orlando, our guy in Clearwater Florida uses this machine. Keep in mind, you'd need a much bigger machine if you want to do tile (you likely have a lot of tile cleaning demand in your area).

Theoretically, more heat is better. There are just many practical downsides (additional weight in the machine, they break often, 2 cords attached to the machine). Tap water is quite hot. If you want it very hot, I'd recommend adding an external heater. This keeps the weight separate, easier to replace and if it ever breaks you just take that component in for warranty while keeping your main machine. Can i run 50 ft hose on the e600? I have bad knees and was thinking the lighter unit would be a better option for me. I also want to make sure it will do a sufficient job. I dont mind the extra dumping. If there is a significant difference in the two but only a 30lb difference in weight I could go with the Ninja 200D. I guess what im asking is is the Ninja way better? Also is there a huge difference between a regular CRB and the Oreck Orbitor besides the price?

50ft hoses on the e600 would be a bit weak. Ninja is noticeably better, also looks more professional. CRBs are more expensive, usually around 4k. Oreck is around $700. Both look professional, if you pre-vac with a good vacuum then there isn't really a difference in cleaning quality. CRB brushes go up and down whereas the Oreck rotates horizontally. You could argue that the CRB is better but the cost difference is a lot of most people. Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂

The quick connect doesn’t want to snap. Have been trying for a long time, pre treatment is already sprayed and brushed, but the quick connect won’t snap. Any ideas how to make it work?

Is the pump on? If so, turn it off. Makes it easier. After that, make sure the clean end of the male connect is clean. After that, check the integrity of the female connect (all ball bearings are present, etc.) After all that... You may need to look into replacing parts

Personally I've just switched to the 200D since it's light enough to carry up stairs. A vac booster like the Air Hog should work with these machines tho, isn't it just a matter of having the right hose connections? I've never used one but Ninjas should be compatible

Something in the middle, the pressure drops slightly from 170. Suitable for carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning and auto detailing. Can't do grout, but that's ok since I don't like grout cleaning personally

This machine doesn't have a pressure regulator to verify the PSI, but something in between. Likely 130-ish. It's just barely suitable for professional use, I'd generally recommend the 200D

There are models that do. But since heaters draw power they have to design those machines with less vacuum power to prevent blowing fuses. Or add a second cord. So I recommend against them. I find that most homes have hot enough water through the bathtub. Most home hot water tanks are set to around 60 *c

How’d you find customers at first? I just started this week. I can do tile and grout, carpet, etc. I did 1 rental home…2 rooms carpet. I secured a job doing a hotel lobby and hallways 8500 sqf carpet, but that won’t be for another few weeks. I need to generate some cash flow quickly, so any ideas would be great. You've ticked a few important boxes already. Facebook ads featuring eye catching carpet cleaning videos can get you clicks for around $0.25 each. Physical signage can be good depending on your local bylaws around that sort of thing. Almost all of our leads now come from organic google search so get satisfied customers to write you reviews. The thing you're probably missing is good advertising via social media pages

I agree and also have my frustrations with social media platforms. But. At the end of the day, we need to get our businesses in front of eyeballs. People spend a lot of time scrolling so it's a good opportunity for us to pop up there. There are simple things too, if you have a nice looking work vehicle, try parking it near busy roads and stuff. It's a grind, stay focused, it'll pay off 🙂💪

It was the cheaper method for me at the moment, plus I’m in Deep South Texas so It’s not an issue with space like a big city is and needing a van. I still need to put my logo on the trailer and get a magnetic sign for the truck, but once I get a little more money coming in I’ll get that done.

i cleaned carpet with a portable and its pretty hard especially if your day job is manual labor, if your a youngster u can do it but older people itll grind your azz

Sure does. It's hard work. That's why I generally recommend the 90lb 200D or go even lighter with the 60lb E600 machine. Use a smaller bucket for water... Don't carry the machine full of water... With those precautions it shouldn't be too hard on the back

It's a path that most people can accomplish if they're determined. I saved up enough for my first machine while making minimum wage ($11/hr, $1500 a month, expenses were $1000/month as I was renting a room, saved $500 a month for half a year). You could also get a loan for a machine, even with today's interest rates it's realistic. There's no building lease, college tuition required, etc.

You can often get out of poverty though. I worked minimum wage and saved up enough money to buy my first machine. Once I got it I was able to work myself way out of poverty. Now I'm definitely way above average for my age (house, multiple vehicles, etc.) I intend to inspire hope. This is a rare unregulated industry that can pay $100/hour

If you Google Oreck Orbiter you can find it in many places. Amazon being the easiest

I guess I can’t find the hose or wands on Aramsco website. Probably named different.
