The one I had done recently which included some x-rays, was about $500. But it can be more than that with in-depth x-rays and stuff

Am I allowed to ask for past vet records before paying for the prepurchase exam; just to get a rough idea of the health of the horse so I don't get scammed by a potential ill-meaning seller?
