Equalibrium Man - The Snowflake That Never Was

Ойындар

Equalibrium Man was an idea hatched from my love of early game Runescape and my interest in snowflake ironman accounts. An idea that was not meant to last... (for me)
I discovered SlayerMusiq1's One Level At a Time series while editing this video, if you are interested in the concept watch his series instead.

Perhaps you should adjust how close the levels have to be? Like maybe within 5 before 20 within 3 below 30 etc Setting a goal so there's a 'story' is also cool too. Settled is the king of storytelling with his snowflake accounts. The 1hp series he's not just showing how interesting it is to play the game like that, he's trying to get a fire cape with 1hp.

This will be just as delightfully painful as all the other rule locked accounts but in a very fresh and different way. Zero way to efficiently grind anything. Having to purposefully avoid doing quests that dole out shit tons of a specific XP until that dump won't give you a level is SUCH a pain in the ass for ironman gear progression my god. Bless you sir, you have my sub.

Surprised this is the first I've seen of this on KZread. I did something similar on my HCIM on RS3 for fun although 10 levels at a time until 99s then 1 level at a time after 99s. Figured it was fairly common but glad to see someone else recording it. I like it because It forced me to have variety in gameplay instead of burning out doing one thing for dozens or hundreds of hours.

Fun watch! I really think this kind of account would be genuinely enjoyable to play with a few tweaks: -regular iron instead of ultimate -forced to focus on lowest level skill at the time -allow quest xp if the xp is going to the lowest level skill in a single xp drop -allow gaining xp in another skill if it would result in xp in the lowest level skill (slayer, herb farming, rc, fletching, firemaking, construction, forestry events etc.)

Enjoyed the vid, I think it is a bit insane to keep it within 1 level all the way to 99, the pain involved in that you're locked out of A LOT of quests until you're basically at the end of the game is wack. I say add some buffer to it, not enough to make it "easier" but enough to make it less torture for yourself, ie; 1 level gap up to 20, 2 till 30, 3 till 40, etc, or just stop at 30 and have 3 level gap, as I think that is decent, xp diff double every 7 levels so it keeps it within a pretty narrow range, but also gives you far more freedom to do quests waaay earlier than what you could possibly do locked in at 1 by 1. That aside, hope to see another vid regardless, feel like continuing this for too much longer can't possibly last without some sort of wiggle room, lol, goodluck!

I did something vaguely similar (but infinitely more casual) to this on my ironman. Raised skills such that there was no more than a 7 level difference between my lowest and highest level. I made a few exceptions for my sanity, mainly that in the beginning of the game I allowed myself to grind for up to an hour on a single skill before forcing myself to swap. Also I wasn't really being hard on myself so if skills happened to fall out of balance by accident such as by quest XP then that was fine too.
