Equal Temperament Has Ruined Harmony (And Why You Should Care) - Ross W. Duffin; Book Review Ep. 23

The long-awaited (by me, at least) return of the book reviews. Today, in discussing Ross W. Duffin's "How Equal Temperament Ruined Harmony," we explore a book that's a little out of my wheel-house. Let me know your thoughts on this book or my review in the comments below!

My music book review series is meant to look at books that intend to answer some of the most important things we want to know about music - I.e. How to compose, learn to write music, learn to arrange, learn music theory - and evaluate how well they discuss those topics.
Along with that, I want to discuss what makes a book ‘good’ - what makes it flow, how the argument is structured, and what kind of things can detract from the reading experience, through pointing out what makes different books difficult for me to read.
Most importantly, I want to showcase helpful resources for whatever you might be looking for in music! Hopefully these reviews help you in some way, shape, or form, and be sure to like, subscribe, or leave a comment if you’ve enjoyed!
