About this video:
Epstein-Barr virus causes infectious mononucleosis, or "mono."
Most of us will contract the Epstein-Barr virus at some point in our lives, and we're usually able to keep the virus in check after the initial infection is over.
However, if a person's immune system becomes compromised by stress, nutrient deficiencies, toxins, etc., the virus can become reactivated - even years down the road.
Reactivated Epstein-Barr virus has been implicated in autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, as well as thyroid disorders and chronic fatigue.
This is the first video in a 5-part series about Epstein-Barr virus. In this video, I'm going to talk about the signs and symptoms of the initial infection. In the other videos in this series, I'll discuss reactivated Epstein-Barr, lab testing, natural treatment and more.

    I’m having it now, I’m 58 years old and never heard such a virus till 2 weeks ago. I’ve been sick for the last 6 weeks! First a big cold like the flu, I checked for the Covid 19 and negative 4 times, went to the ER and didn’t find anything but got me vaccinated without my permission, I found out days later, went to the hospital again, never found anything! After blood work, ultrasound, CT scan and nothing! Arrived home and called my nephew and gave him blood work, he told me YOU GOT MONO! Went back to dr and now he wants EBV test to confirm it….., it cost $600 dlls, I can’t afford it 😞 That means I can’t get any help without the test. My liver and spleen are so swollen that it hurts when I breath….. What a horrendous pain!

    @@aliciamilam5636yeah medical professionals are actually vaxxing folks without their permission! It happened to me too back in 2019. At my last visit to said clinic I was told I needed a vaccine. I told them I didn’t want one cause I was feverish. They (dr & nurse) left out & came back in about 15 mins or so later. Nurse prepped me for vaccine & the doctor stood by the door with his arms folded across his chest! I was scared. I started to get up & the nurse pushed me back down & jabbed me. Honest to God! Ever since then my health has been deteriorating & the med that I know helps me with the symptoms I have, is being denied. Yes, a treatment that helps me immensely is being denied to me. Obviously I’m not the only one being done like this. There’s people everywhere needing to file medical malpractice lawsuits. This is why people video everything these days. We have to!

    For anyone possibly with CAEBV (Chronic Active EBV) there's a very important but usually overlooked facet of testing: If the patient is immune-deficient, which is likely the reason for CAEBV, then antibody tests are at best unreliable, if not essentially useless, because they will not reflect the ACTUAL viral load. Only a EBV DNA test, reporting copies/ml (virus DNA copies per milliliter of blood) is useful, and will reflect ACTUAL viral load. My CAEBV went un/mis-diagnosed for 16 years because of this, so BEWARE.

  • @ZlayaCo6aka

    @ZlayaCo6aka

    PS- Simultaneous antibody and DNA tests showed antibodies "suggestive of a recent infection" while DNA was almost 9000 copies/ml which is full-blown-infection level.

    Fantastic - thank you for sharing! We know that our patients with chronic EBV are consistently immunocompromised, and it's usually because of undiagnosed mold toxicity. Chronic Lyme, heavy metals, toxic chemicals, and nutrient deficiencies must also be explored as possible causes of immunodeficiency.

    Following up on my post with some background, which maybe will help others... I don't know when my first-ever EBV infection happened, but in March 2003 I suffered a full-blown case of Mono, including the classic mottled rash that eventually covered most of my body by the summer of 2003. The rash cleared up by 2004, but the malaise and myalgia has since continued, with general symptoms ranging from mild cold like on "good days" to severe flu like on "bad days." For the most part the medical profession has been like the Keystone Cops bumbling around unable to even catch a cold. Several times over the years, after going to a ER, I was admitted to a hospital for "chronic fatigue" and "exhibiting viral symptoms" and so on, blah-blah-blah, from the clueless doctors. "Get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, and eliminate stress" is the best "treatment" any of those medical-morons could come up with. ("Eliminate stress" -- yeah, OK, right, so I asked them to give me their mailing address so I could have all of my bills sent to them for payment.) continued...

  • @ZlayaCo6aka

    @ZlayaCo6aka

    The next MAJOR flare-up happened in June 2019, with 16 days of 101+ fever and paralyzing myalgia and malaise. By sheer luck, several months earlier I'd scheduled an appointment with a new infectious disease specialist, and the appointment came about 2/3-way through the flare-up, so the doctor caught it: "ACTIVE EBV INFECTION" with all the other red lights and alarms on the lab results. Unfortunately that doctor didn't order the DNA test then, only the antibody tests. In January 2020, because I was still sick, another specialist, a rheumatologist, not a infectious disease specialist, ordered the EBV DNA test, the first time any doctor had ordered that test... Almost SEVEN MONTHS AFTER the EBV flare-up, when I was perhaps "75 percent recovered," my EBV load was 8828 copies per ml, while the antibody tests indicated only a "recent EBV infection." And, few months later while I was still experiencing those same "75 percent recovered" symptoms, another antibody test indicated only a "past EBV infection."

  • @ZlayaCo6aka

    @ZlayaCo6aka

    3 жыл бұрын

    So, you CANNOT TRUST THE ANTIBODY TESTS. Also, subsequently, due to my insistence, another "doctor" ordered a EBV DNA test and the results were listed as something like ">159" which had the "doctor" concluding that EBV wasn't my problem... So I demanded to see the lab report, and there it was in plain English: Clearly written was that the actual copies/ml isn't included because it wasn't ordered; the results only indicate the viral load is above the lab's "positive" detection threshold. I asked the "doctor" if he ever actually reads lab reports, or if he just pretends to read them -- yet another medical-moron. YOU CAN'T TRUST THE DOCTORS EITHER. If you care about your health, then YOU YOURSELF have to educate yourself and take charge of your treatment, and if that means changing doctors as often as changing your socks, then "just do it."

This is due to not wanting a repeat of the Spanish flu.. I'd have to go back and have a look but perhaps it may have been yellow fever and or polio that was tested in the Faroe Islands.. It appears that not many (if any) people had MS and TD before wwll. The study states that one in four people, 25% have it.. EBV and GBV are very underrated & misunderstood little suckers.. I have been battling EBV for ten months using Medical Medium information and I have extremely swollen eyelids. But can that really be from battling EBV? Bcs I don't have that initial infection, I had that in my childhood probably. Can the extremely swollen eyelids plus general puffiness now be because I try to eliminate them or maybe just from the sodium in the celeryjuice? I don't know, I just know that I'm very puffy and it's really awful.😫 UPDATE: I don't follow the MM diet anymore, my SIBO, leaky gut and so on got out of hand. I'm also suspecting that I've got an oxalate issue. That diet didn't help. I had several viral outbreaks during that year, including on my fingers, arms and chest. That had never happened before. At first, I saw it as a sign that the diet "worked" and that it was "detox". Now I see it for what it was, my immune system got lowered on that diet and the viruses had a chance to emerge. I don't know how to get rid of the viruses, but it's not by doing that diet, that's for sure.🤪

I tested positive for ebv then back in 2010. I recently started having health issues in august of 2020 and the joint and muscle pains literally started out of the blue with vengeance after no issues for 9 years. I was active fit and had lots of energy. they did another ebv test and it’s negative but now i’m testing positive for RA rheumatoid arthritis. all of my bloodwork is perfect except for my inflammatory markers. my Rheumatoid Factor was 107 last november. normal is between 0-19. it’s now down to 69. my ESR/SED was normal last year (3) but it’s now above normal. 17 normal is between 0-15. my CCP is now 42. normal is less than 20 but my CRP is normal .03 on the low end. this suddenly started and progressed sooo fast, doctors said it looks like RA but they’ve never seen it develop amd spread so fast out of the blue. my fingers are swollen all the time now. they don’t even go down anymore. it’s now affecting knees and ankles and toes 😞

    Hi, Gary After initial exposure, a healthy immune system can keep the virus in-check so that its not a problem. Again, Its estimated that over 90% of people have been infected with the Epstein-Barr virus at some point in their life. Re-acivation of the virus can occur when the immune system is compromised. For example, prolonged extreme stress can lower our immune function allowing the virus to become active again. Treatment focuses on decreasing viral activity and supporting the immune system. While you cannot completely eradicate the virus, you can support the immune system to keep the virus from being active.

    Yes, EBV can cause kidney damage, but it most commonly affects the spleen and liver.

    Kidney damage from EBV is rare, but is certainly possible. Here are a couple of research studies showing that EBV can indeed damage the kidneys. But, again, it most commonly affects the spleen and/or liver. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4400449/pdf/sfr119.pdf jasn.asnjournals.org/content/2/12/1734.full.pdf Really, any systemic infection or autoimmune disease could damage the kidneys because there will be large amounts of immune complexes circulating. These immune complexes can clog and damage the renal (kidney) tubules.
