Applying epoxy is definitely a learning curve. Helped a friend yesterday, supposeto be a 45 minute epoxy work time but turned into 25 minutes setup. We had a small nightmare to over come.😒

Here, cured epoxy lifted along a patio door (makes like a long and large blister). We suspect there was a big temperature gradient between the door sill (very cold outside) and the concrete slab (radiant floor). The epoxy layer probably popped up due to the thermal stresses. The epoxy on the heated slabs stops against the door sill, so everything is glued together. Can we glue it back by injecting some sort of adhesive and press on it? before that we would rework the door sill to allow the floor to move freely. Thanks!

I have never managed to glue a piece of epoxy back in place. Better to break that part off and recoat the strip

You mean turn on AC in van? That might put a drain on your battery and gasoline, not to mention the pollution. Also vans tend to have AC only in the cabin up front, the back area of the VAN is usually never air conditioned

Do You apply epoxy with rubber notched squeegee or metal notched squeege?

  • @learncoatings-epoxyfloorin9448

I prefer metal notched squeegees cause they tend to last a little longer. I find rubber ones wear quicker, and need replacing more frequently. With flat squeegees I prefer rubber
