Best EPMD song EVER! When beats had "weight".....

One of the ALL TIME great JEEP jams. JEEP because back when it was hot you heard it in the JEEPS. After a while dudes would go get their sound systems adjusted just so a song like this (and yeah LL Cool J's whole "Mama Said Knock You Out" was MADE for that kind of rumble in the jungle). Young people, you have NO IDEA how good Hip-Hop was. In some aspects it has moments. But back during these 80s, 90s....it was EVERYTHING. Sit back and let this just play. It IS a loop but it is WELL DONE musically. LISTEN.

Beats like this make me feel better. Thank you lord for brining me here in the 80s.

Telling this generation what is a emcee or a poet is like convincing someone that is an theologian that ancient paleo hebrew had existed before Yiddish modern hebrew

In the early days of sampled beats, this sounded so exotic to me. I had no idea what the sound in the sample was. Now, of course im familiar with the language of sampling and I can tell it's a guitar lick. But back then it was a really wild sound.
