Your in-depth legal analyses are ringingly rational and deserve to be heard by the masses.

I'm confused. There is an entire DOJ, a Special Council with experience convicting war criminals in The Hague, a team of tax payer funded attorneys with the best Ivy league legal training working full time on behalf of the citizens, not to mention an Army of KZread lawyers still practicing and we're in a Hail Mary situation of having Joe Blow with no legal training fill out an internet form under the penalty of perjury to get justice for Trump selling out our country's security? I'm literally close to tears.

Alito and Thomas should both resign to stop the damage of the Supreme Court respectability, trust and legitimacy.

should, would, could. Fat chance they will resign. What is frustrating is the absence of Merrick Garland and the DOJ to investigate. Garland should not head the DOJ. Nor should he be on SCOTUS. He has dropped too many balls.

She just can't be this inexperienced. It has to be apparent to all, that her scales of justice are weighted to favor Drumpf. The right wing authoritarian "Dear Leader". We must vote him out and let him face his criminal trials.

Aw. I love Andy's voice; I have misophonia, the flip side of which is that I find some voices very soothing. Non-attorney here, but I wouldn't send in a complaint form unless I have a shred of an appearance of legal interest in doing so; eg., having a case pending or finished with that particular judge, being a resident of the jurisdiction assigned to her, or being a nonprofit with a mission of monitoring judges (similar, I guess, to amicus briefs). And as a non-attorney, if'n y'all don't mind, Alito and Thomas suck. Love, Dee

Andy McCabe asked what I have been trying to get an answer to: Cannon is known to not be experienced or qualified, yet she came up with a brilliant way to stop the trial without triggering another escalation to and rebuke by the appellate court. Who is advising her? Is there a right-wing judge, or Justice, feeding her this strategy? And if so, how can we find out, and what would the legal implications of that be?

If we want t request Cannon be removed who do we write to ? The 11th District???

Cannon is either corrupted or of limited ability ...either way she should not be holding this case.

I'm coming to believe it's both. I've heard respected lawyers say she's in waaaay over her head and is under quite a bit of pressure - the combination of that (along with her very likely Trump bias) causes her to move super slowly and to err on the side of caution - all of which leads to her bizarre and delayed decisions. I really don't understand how we have a judicial system where someone like Cannon doesn't have a "boss" in charge of overseeing her. There's no way a case this important should be at the mercy of an inexperienced and likely incompetent judge.

@mikedr1549 me too.. I should have coupled the two.....it's both. What a crazy situation where someone so inexperienced is given such a case. Ironically....she has an expert in the room ...Jack Smith who is extremely well qualified and ....objective in his decision making. I'm afraid the system is broken.

Does she handle more or less than other judges in her district? How much time has she taken on her other cases from the time she assigned? Does she have a history of slow walking her other cases? When she continues for interests of Justice”, it really means she is drowning in fear of angering Maga and she is suffering from anxiety and can’t breathe and she needs a vacay so it will all go away. She’s in over her head and incompetent to handle this case and is overwhelmed in confusion. This is my evaluation as a Crim Law Trial Atty. She has insufficient experience to handle this case. As a citizen I wonder WTF is she doing? She is obviously not working. She should pass this off to a more experienced jurist who can handle this case.

Because a person is in a certain questionable occupation does not mean they are stupid or dull. The prosecution underestimated her acumen and intelligence. They often think women are “ not smart” because they are just women. Then there is ‘Judge’ Aileen Cannon. She may not have the experience to sit on this case; is obviously being watched, not only by other judicial bodies as well as the country. She is smart enough to stretch the law and stay under the radar for judicial misconduct. We all know what she is doing to help Trump, but she is clever and avoids blatantly bad choices and stays within her professional capacity. I feel, justice wise, she should be removed, irrespective of how I feel about Trumps alleged guilt. She, along with SCOTUS, are perverting the justice system and causing irreparable damage that will reverberate for years to come.

Alito can’t be trusted.

If a federal judge on a case watched by the whole world can be this flagrantly partial to one party with no consequences, it is impossible to believe that judges are not routinely bought off in the US.

Interesting how MAGA Cannon is able to run Smith around and spin him beautifully. I had thought Smith had enough brains to deal with her, but apparently not. She’s got him down and out. This case will never go to trial.

She is the judge, so has is an almost binary power advantage. Yet she has managed to get overturned twice and brutally scolded by the 11th Circuit. She is getting criticized and mocked from every direction but the MAGA loyalists. She is far from doing beautifully as Trump's patsy.
