“Make sure my dad gets whats he wants” couple seasons later Boabby gets an award for looking after Pete. Nice touch.

From around 12.30-14.30 is just pure genius writing and also comedy gold.

I know how they felt about the Clansman shutting. The local pub where I live had been there for years, even my grandparents drank in it before me. The last owner sold it and it was demolished. Once it was gone (and turned into a Spar of all things!) everybody seemed to go with it. You never see half the people now, it's like it took something with it when it went. A local pub is an important part of smaller rural areas, especially for the older generation, it's maybe the only weekly or even daily outing they get to socialise. And for (most of the time) more apartments?! There'll be nothing left!

Here in Scotland it’s the homes of the older generations that just get used as holiday homes. Those places filled with light and noise with locals. Now… none locals

The fact they tie back into this story line, albeit in a small way. When bobby gets the award for taking care of pete and making him his breakfast every morning. This show is up there with the all time great comedies.

It's impossible for me to pick a single favorite episode. Every one is another favorite.

Other than Father Ted, this has been the most consistently funny situation comedy ever made.

This has to be the most well crafted episode of Still Game, ever! The flashback cut of Winston from the pub to the flat with Jack and Victor discussing their past still gets me! It takes a personal heartbreaking subject and turns it completely on it's head!

Definitely one of my favourites, it doesn't get better than this. Top notch comedy genius !

You can see Greg & Ford get their writing ideas from Galton & Simpson who wrote Steptoe & Son. All the great comedies copied Steptoe but this and Steptoe my all time favourite shows.

The beginning where they discuss the grim reaper bit was foreshadowing to the later seasons where they don’t open the door to the new undertaker 🤣- Isa to the rescue in this one! Love her

As a Southern American I love Still Game hilarious show. Can say it's the only great thing Netflix did it took me a while watching with subtitles to catch on to the accent. A lot of catching on to the context words are used in to understand what's said.

The final line... (edit: before the credits) "I'm looking for a man called Navid..." BRILLIANT.... That this show has a muslim shopkeeper selling alcohol... Navid is now my favourite... I have lived/worked in many muslim countries (telecomms, oil industry needs it) but to see how it is here.... fantastic, massive respect for the writers and team on this, to me the BEST on UK TV
