Great video Laura - you crack me up! You posted "HOLD YOUR BREATH"..... so I did.... until I realized I am sitting on my couch in NY - and not under the water with your camera!!! I had to laugh out loud.... You had a seriously great day and I agree - find a big shell pile and go through it - beauty abounds! Glad you share with us - {{shelling hugs}}

Very hard to tell about the shells because the color was almost nonexistent. I’m wondering if it a setting. It almost looked black and white except for your bracelet. But even still, I loved seeing the shells!

The quality of the GoPro has never been excellent but this also isn't the most recent GoPro available so maybe they have improved the color. I appreciate your feedback and support!
Oh my gosh Laura!! You know I love me some Kice Island!!! I just put on my fit kicks and pretended I was shelling with you, lol. So so fun. I can't wait to be there again. Love the long video. I miss when you spent more time shelling and in my favorite place too!! Next time I go I am going to get some driftwood. I only got a few pieces last time. I was too busy digging in those gorgeous shells and I regretted only getting a few pieces of driftwood. Thanks for the fun vid! I miss my treasure boxes. I need a fix, lol!!!!

You're most welcome, Freda! So glad you enjoyed! I hope I get to go shelling with you the next time you're down here!
The picture with that camera was clear but the color was very washed out. Loved the shells tho, what a haul. Thanks for the video.

TY for your video, and congrats on the cool finds! I think the go pro was good in general, but would love it if you could possibly get the shells closer, and maybe take a tiny bit longer to show them to us?

Thanks for your feedback! There isn't a zoom option on the GoPro so it's very hard to be able to get close enough to the shells (another reason why I don't put it on my head as some people have suggested). I am much better with my phone or a regular camera I can zoom in and out.
I've liked the comments from some of your other fans regarding the GoPro. Bad bits - Shells seemed very far away, when moving it felt a little bit too much motion, the colours weren't as bright as Episode 46 on Kice Island(I understand that a lot of the shells were dry and sun-bleached and the sun light was very bright), sound was very faint and it was hard to hear you (You could get a microphone), when showing us a shell close up please can you keep it still for a second longer. Good bits - the underwater shots were great, if you had the GoPro head mounted then you would have two hands to shell !!!! There were so many amazing shells. Thank you for taking us along with you as I know we slow you down. I really do appreciate it.

Thanks so much for your feedback, Dawn! Yes there are pros and cons to the GoPro for sure. The last time I tried to use my "waterproof" iPhone for underwater filming I ended up without a phone for a week lol. But the GoPro quality definitely isn't as good, and it doesn't give me an option to zoom, which makes it tough as well.
Thanks for sharing Laura! I loved when you were videoing under water! Lots of great shells, included really great alphabets.

Omg what a great shelling day. I get so excited when you find the lace and apple murex. My favorite shells. You found some Hugh apples. I love shelling Kice Island.

Hi Marcia, thanks so much for watching!
Lovin the GoPro! The audio is a little low for some reason, a little difficult to hear you but the perspective is awesome!! Maybe finding a head strap for hands free and a mic filter will help a lot!! T-22 days till I’m there!! 😍😍😍 Thank you for putting out these vids, they are so therapeutic and I look forward to them!!

Grazie mille per aver guardato!
The GoPro is sooooo much better! But it was pretty wobbly. I watch another sheller who has the head attachment and it makes the video much smoother.
I don’t think you can zoom with GoPro. Hard to see. I think the shells may be faded, but difficult to make out what you were seeing.

Correct, GoPro doesn't have an option to zoom, which is why I rarely use it. I did want to do some underwater filming though, and the last time I tried it with my "waterproof" iPhone, I ended up without a phone for a week! lol

Hi Laura, I will leave that info on your gmail. Can you explain to me how the Treasure Boxes work?
I think the color isn't really good on the Go Pro. It was hard to pick up the color of the shells. All of the shells seemed white. I love your videos!!

So many shells! Video was too shaky to enjoy for long though and there was major issues with audio because she'll noise was very loud but you were difficult to hear.

The colors seem to be really washed out except for the orange bucket and blue bracelet. Also, the sound is not as good as usual. I definitely like the other camera option better.
I'm not from Florida but ive always wondered, do you ever stumble across a snake? That is my biggest fear
@virtualshelling
Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, Florida has wonderful wildlife here! I absolutely love snakes and I wish I saw more of them. We don't them often on the beaches, but they are definitely around!
Not liking the go pro. I hate the rounded type whatever it’s called. Makes me dizzy and it’s harder to see the shells. It wasn’t a bad video per se just stick with ur phone. Does go pro have diffysstting so it doesn’t look round?

Thanks for your feedback, Monica! The "fish-eye" view is standard for GoPro and cannot be changed, I also am not able to zoom. Its great to use underwater so I will keep it just for that use, thanks so much!
Too far away from the shells and the color wasnt there.
