They really need size and a low post presence on this team. Say what you want about Chris but he's a big body that isn't scare to get down in the post and bang. I agree with most of the comments because the ECS definitely underestimated the opp team and never locked in mentally and it cost them. The opp team didn't work nearly as hard as the ECS to score buckets.

Your totally right. I just watched the video and came to say the same dang game. Idk if it was the edit in the video or what but I heard coach say we played down to our comp like 3 times. I love ecs, but how many videos do they say no one believe in us were just KZreadrs. But, then they treat another team like they are garbage. That’s crazy growing pain my ass. They should of humbled themselves vrs wcs thought they were gonna run that too. That was a long time ago

I think skywalker has emerged as the best player on the East last squad. He’s gritty af and clutch. He scores from anywhere. Slim has the most potential but he lacks the killer mentality.

Slim has said it multiple times..he’s getting paid either they win or not. Lazy to get back on defense, if at all. Lazy to get back on offense, and then instead of using his length and jumping power he settles for mid-long range jumpers. They don’t have anyone like a frank nitty that holds the players accountable and keeps them working

Slim needs to be better. He settles for WAY too many jump shots when we all know he can get to the basket at will. And he doesn’t play anywhere near as intense on defense IMO. The team as a whole I feel settles for too many jumpers to be honest. Like the coach said, they don’t play to their level. They need Tim back to give them a leader on defense. Great game by Duke, he seems to always be the motor

I've always said the ECS doesn't move the ball enough. I hate how good they are individually, but they're too used to street ball. They like to dribble a little and take a jumper. The ball typically doesn't touch more than 2 or 3 hands during a possession.

God damn... This league journey of the East Coast boys has quickly become my favourite KZread basketball to watch. It's because there's a grander storyline to the stream of games. Rather than street games, who's narrative begins and ens in a single video, we're getting to watch the fellas through an entire season. The ups, the downs, etc... and it keeps building to something bigger. Bravo on this series! Can't wait for the next league game!

Whenever Duke or Slim actually attack the rim they either draw a foul or score almost every time. Duke attacks the rim the most but Slim, on the other hand, has absolutely terrible shot selection. Too many offensive possessions where they shoot within 5 seconds of crossing half court. Their defense as an entire unit is awful. No communication and way too many reaches and falling for pump fakes. Also, this coach never gives specific, actionable advice. He just talks in platitudes.

Way too much about attitude and effort. Then they try to ramp that up and foul too much. They don’t have any respect for opponents that aren’t as physically talented, but have more hoop iq. Bottom line is that they play like a collection of individuals, but not a team. They’re trying, but they’re not there yet.

Barely ball movement on this team, that is what is killing them as well. A-Milly and Zach sometimes the only ones passing on that team. And shot selection is terrible for Duke, Slim and Malcolm sometimes.

I feel like I definitely see growth in your guys’ individual game, so much respect, keep it up. I can’t wait to see how Tim impacts things when he returns. I was also happy to see less complaining about foul calls. That said, I felt like the energy lacked here, and while you guys are clearly more skilled and athletic on an individual level, on a team level I feel like there’s more growth needed around the fundamentals. The Opps used pump fakes, made extra passes, and were given open looks/lanes too often. ECS seems to play too much 1:1 at times, and take bad shots at times, don’t set up the offense consistently, don’t box out consistently, don’t always give the necessary effort and communication on D. Keep working. L’s aren’t bad. They happen. And they highlight opportunities for continued growth. Y’all got this.
