Love that Nico is comfortable enough to speak about his sexual identity and essentially come out in an interview such as this, but outright asking someone if they're not straight on the spot like that isn't what I'd call very professional. It could put him on the spot, potentially put himself or his career in danger.

He literally just said he likes making out with everyone. That’s sort of prompting the question…

you're equivalent to saying if a woman wears a short dress they can potentially be assaulted. The problem isn't asking if someone's gay, the problem is people who would discriminate and not hire him simply for being gay.....
Good interview with a talented, down to earth guy. Special props to him for opening u about his sexuality. It helps other young people struggling with who they are. Continued success to him. Really like your interviewing style. You had a conversation that allowed him to talk about his work and himself. Continued success to you both!
I remember from his SYTYCD days. It is crazy to see his progression and growth. Seems like such a beautiful, grounded person.
I love him so much......so sweet and genuine.
There were great parts of this interview and very tone deaf parts. Saying you were the best for the job(in YOUR mind) and assuming that you were supped to get it is unrealistic. POC have been shut out of so many roles for so long
I'm staggered bc it appears you guys did ZERO background research on Nico before having him on.
I’m not upset or angry about this at all bc I know you are all super kindhearted people. I would just like to point out that at 54:40 the idea that white people are disadvantaged in tv/film is not backed up by fact. the fact is 2020 and 2021 are the only 2 years in American film history that the diversity in film matched the actual diversity of the United States population. Meaning that white people still held 62% of all movie roles in 2021 and you all make up 61% of the population. Which is what the ratio should be. I understand that this might feel like a dramatic shift bc 10 years ago white people made up 90% of all film roles, but the system does not disadvantage white people now. I can imagine that it’s hard to book jobs and land auditions in Hollywood, just be aware of the likelihood that it is this hard for everybody. Or at least it has been since 2020 as that is when things finally started looking like they were fair.

They were all talking around whites being disadvantaged by affirmative action, especially Greetham. It was obvious he was blaming "other" types for getting work solely because of their race. The host seemed to blame affirmative action for the unqualified Asian lead actress on Debs. It was all awful race blaming that none of them were qualified to discuss.

@@mel2000 and I understand why they might feel that way, because they’ve gotten used to be being privileged and so now equality feels like a disadvantage, but thats a perceptive fallacy. White people are objectively not disadvantaged in Hollywood. It’s also really hard not to laugh when one of the 300 white guys that have been a part of the American Horror Story franchise complains about how there’s just no roles for white guys.

The girls complaining that they’d do a better acting job than the Asian actress just reeeks of privilege
First of all love him! 😍 gorgeous and amazing! He is so cool and chill. Raw potatoe I eat it! Taste like jicama but more starchy.
I cannot roll my eyes any harder at white people complaining about how equality doesn’t benefit them. What you are experiencing is how hard it is for everyone else; only difference is that the auditions you get aren’t for characters described as “ghetto” or “urban”

Is it just for me that the audio is really low for?

Nico talks low, and his mic might be turned down, but the ladies mic seemed normal.
Talented artist with intelligence and charisma. Handled tough questions with grace. One of the interviewers doesn’t seem to be right for this profession.
Real interview starts at 15:44
Just Newsies! Come on, that show may not have been a Broadway hit but it had a cult following!
okay so hypothetically lets say it's all based on talent and everyone else who isn't like any of you are acting circles around you...then what
I love OHWG! I’ve learned a lot about the LBGTQ+ community and womens issues. It would be nice to hear about other groups that are minorities.

They referred to minorities as the box you have to check for representation. It doesn't seem like they're particularly looking to expand their perspective.
Even the Republican party is diverse, and they will be well into the future because they know that talent, qualifications, and experience is something people of any background can obtain. There are talented people of every race, religion, and ethnicity, and just focusing on 1 rigid idea of "talent" can exclude others.....
