Episode 41 Tidying up after the storm
Hi friends, in this episode I complete the water diversion work outside the bunker and work on rewiring the pumping system to make it more efficient.

You might not have done as much as you'd hoped for but you're still making progress and doing a great job. 👍🏻👍🏻
wow an entire hour
It's been dry here lately but water has definitely caused me some challenges as well. I'm sure you'll rise above it
Well that was a rip roaring action packed episode. The infamous concrete. The mildly cooked upper float switch. And the cafeteria customers commenting that their packets of crisps are really heavy. Optocoupler may be a component that inspires you. English summer and London orbital traffic jam has done a number on me today.

I had to Google optocoupler - sounds clever! A lot less expensive than a electromechanical relay
You need to be careful with self-excitement... you can end up with the load going through the coil if you're not careful. I think Turbo has this happen which is what lead to the diode. You can also end up with an oscillator or vibrator too but that's normally if you use both poles. Nice work though, live and learn. You'll work it out.

Since making this video I have had another play and have it working perfectly. There's no way for the self exciting circuit to drive the pump because it's getting its feed from the pump side of the circuit.
