I reject the characterization of a criminal record as idimoni, even in jest. It's the consequence of bad decisions.
@Mbalings

That's my sentiment exactly. Noone asked you to break the law. You're an ex offender because of the bad decisions you made. Law abiding citizens also have no jobs 🤷♀️ But maybe my perspective is informed by privilege, I don't know. Actions have consequences. Even the poorest of people still make a decision everyday to NOT BREAK THE LAW. I feel nothing for ex offenders and their joblessness. 🤷♀️

Yhoo the way the host is always fascinated about sex life in prison is so tiring like he would invest a whole 20minutes on it kuyabhora....all the interviews manje he asks about the same thing hai man we get it now
Wow Hlengi I'm so so sorry about your dad, I can only imagine. But I like the attitude of 'keep pushing'

Thanks Skeem Gp for the Procast
Wow nice one❤wish she can get the help that she need🙏
Big ups you doing great
I love her she's so positive🥺❤️
Well spoken and very smart ….
I have so many unanswered questions, how long was she in prison for? How did she get caught? Who caught her? I know Mhlengi personally and I feel the interview had irrelevant questions... we want to know where she is right now? There is so many struggles she is facing but those questions were not asked. Mhlengi is truly struggling but those questions were not asked I feel she was robbed ☹️😭

I love this show shame,mara. How do you drink tea ka di summerglasses
Auditors pick it up but once they alert your bosses and get legal advise, they give you more time to steal so that when the matter is heard in court, the substantial evidence and the weight of the crime grants one more years in jail. Most people continue stealing thinking that they've covered their tracks. 😂
Skeem get more info about crime caught after how many years doing it.
Skeem, consider podcasting "Where are they now?"
this interview was boring her story is not vivid, we dont know how much she stole, how and how long she did time. the title of this interview must be " ACCEPTING UR A LESBIAN"

It bothers me so much when former criminals complain about the existence of a criminal record. 1. It seems to communicate that DCS doesn't teach the reason the justice system worldwide resorted to having public record of who has had a brush with the law. 2. The amount of recurring offenses despite the existence of the record itself. This idea of a second chance seems to negate the fact that a crime was committed
I think she had too many restrictions. She was obviously not comfortable discussing the crime, which defeated the purpose. Now they had conversation to fill up time
Aii mara skeem you wanna chip in a lot of times... let them talk let them tell the story, we enjoy that
Themba, I think now you are conversing for votes, pls keep your podcast as it is for ex convicts not politics pls I beg
Bring Montana please
I feel absolutely nothing for ex offenders not getting jobs. You made your bed wethu. Law abiding citizens also don't have jobs, with their qualifications. You're not special. Sorry not sorry.

I feel like the host was trying to make the episode about the guest’s sexuality instead of allowing her to tell us her experience of how prison was like etc
Skeem should stop having conversations with his guests off camera, an interview should happen organically on camera i think that's what McG has mastered for us all to also get to know the guest. i agree with @The_southy_Emzansi he was just interested in her sexuality nje qha, i enjoyed Trinity coz he told his story even though skeem tried to lead away from his story he always came let them speak their truth that's what we are here to listen to not how she sleeps with her partner. i could not finish it.

19 years in nothing stop being impatient is not like you did nothing. With that 10years do community work to prove yourself in the community as they no longer trust you. So you need to think about the people you offended in as much as you put yourself first. Just go through the process and learn to be patient otherwise you will find yourself going back again.
It’s a shame that people like this get a platform and they don’t they are not educated about the power of voting. Stop asking these people about voting as they are clueless
@Mbalings

Honestly, I don't blame them for their ignorance. IEC is doing ZERO on voter education (It's part of their responsibilities). Up until 2 years ago I also didn't quite understand the point of "electing people so they can be VIPs." I didn't understand what it means when they say "When you don't vote you can't complain" I thought it was a nonsensical statement because I pay tax and so Incan complain. Someone explained to me exactly what it actually means and a light bulb 💡 literally went off in my head. I do my best to educate those around me and they're also always so shocked, I'm talking about the youth here. A lot of us are uneducated about voting, not just ex offenders 🥹 I agree he shouldn't ask them because they're replies are ignorant and dangerous (to no fault of their own)

Irrelevant questions
The host must listen more rather than trying to interject the guests all the time
I feel like the guest has a lot of entitlement for someone who broke the law, ma'am you broke the law things can't just go back to how they were. That time she couldn't answer Skeem's question, " If she was in power what would she do better esp for ex offenders?" dweeeh

Nothing was said here....she's arrogant and not telling all
Boring episode. In fact every time i watch women episodes i get bored. It's like they are rehearsed to share some info and shy away from other information. How was she caught? How much did she steal? Was she arrested at work? How long was she in imprisoned for? Do women have a number in prison? Was she ever mis-treated or beaten inside? She could have shared more detail as to what she meant by "living beyond her means" - was she drinking expensive booze, expensive clothes etc. Mnxm. This episode couldn't put us on the scene of crime and inside prison like Jelly Buthelezi and Trinity did.
The first 20 minutes were about her sexuality which to me is irrelevant to her committing crime 😢 this episode was a disappointment.
