Episode 4 | How To ACRYLIC BRUSH Prep & Care ✨ You NEED to know this

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Beginner Friendly Brush Prep IN DETAIL from a professional & Close UPS. I'm going to share all of my tips on how to correctly prepare your kolinsky brush for using on yours or your clients nails. Also some information I didn't include in the video I have listed in the description here.
Products featured in this video:
Dappen Dish glitterplanetuk.com/products/...
Pastel pink kolinsky brush glitterplanetuk.com/products/...
Rainbow Aqua Brush glitterplanetuk.com/products/...
Monomer glitterplanetuk.com/products/...
✅How should I store my brush:
You should store your brush laying FLAT or with the bristles DOWN. When I say with bristles down I don't mean in a pot. You would need to use the Glitter Planet Magnetic brush holder to suspend your brush in the air so your bristles aren't touching anything. This stops any of the monomer from running back into the ferrule (metal part) and causing corrosion.
✅How should I clean my brush?
After every use clean your brush with your left over monomer - if your monomer is only you may need to add a small bit of fresh monomer to ensure its really cleaning the bristles. And then follow the same steps as we do for prepping - dipping into the monomer and rolling with light pressure then wiping to the towel. repeat several times finishing up with some monomer in your bristles still. It doesn't need to be dry.

I never knew they needed to be prepared and was something I thought about when I got my new brush because I wanted to do things correctly. I want to go to school to study to be a nail tech but I want to make sure to be knowledgeable before jumping in and not liking something new. Thank you for your inspiring words! ❤❤❤

Thx so much Lorna! I used brush cleaner before on my favorite brush that I had for 4 years. Forgot & left it in for 45 min & the cleaner molded the tip of bristles in a curved shape. I tried everything to get it back & I couldn't. I was so mad I had to trash it. I love your channel. You pretty bomb.com yourself!😉

I prepped my Acrylic Brushes the same way, but i apply extra No Wipe Top Coat on the Handle for extra safe ... it can be (not offten or every time, but can be), that a little bit of Monomer comes to the Handle ... maybe it falls from the Brush Holder or u pinch the Nails a little bit wirh ur Fingers and on this way comes a little bit on the Handle! Otherwise i put any Crystals of the End from the Handle and so i apply Top Coat on it too! But for prep the Bristles, i do it on ur way! Thank's for sharing this Video for Beginners, have an great day, keep safe and much greetings from Vienna!💕💕👍

Can you do one on the synthetic Brushes please and include storage for these Brushes without a lid. I believe more and more of us are conscious of animals and the planet so this would be awesome. I've always struggled with storage of a brush without lids...... Love your Brushes always have right from the silver nail mate 👍 thank you for this video

I've had my nail mate since it first come out and I've just had to throw it away, I was gutted. I stored it lying down in a tin & it went all rusted. I did leave a little monomer in it but not a lot just enough to keep it's shape.... When she started doing them with lids I have to say it's my preference sweetie. I would love to try a synthetic brush as I am animal conscious..... Do you prep on exactly the same way? There's not a lot of info out there on these and so up to now I've not purchased it yet. Thanks for replying huni xx Do you have a video on the synthetic Brushes. Sorry huni I looked but couldn't find one 😢

Roisin Cowzer Hi beautiful, this happens when the brush was not properly cleaned , when first receiving it, also it I’d very important to constantly be wiping your brush off during your sets . For acrylic build up, I use a brush cleaner that has an added conditioner , let them soak for 3-4 minutes, then gently with a wood stick, push out the dried acrylic, once completely removed, dip in a clean monomer, to oil the head back up & let it dry overnight , so your brush is as good as new babe😘✨💜✨💝

I usually leave my brush laying flat until it's dried out after use then I put it in a pot with the bristles pointing up... Is that alright since its not still wet with monomer to store my brush this way?? Please help cause now im nervous after reading in the description box eek! 😣 But I absolutely do not put my brush in the pot while it's still wet so I am hoping I'm not damaging my brush 😔

Angela Pate I store all of my brushes that I use all of the time , with the brush head pointed down, as it truly keeps thee amazing shape of the brush & no undried product seeps into the handle , as it will loosen the bristles & cause a lot of flyaways & shedding of the brush head. I have a video on my KZread chsnnel demonstrating this babe😘✨💜💝✨

Glitter Planet UK website! It's a gorgeous brush and out of my three of Bestie, Magic Stick, and Aqua? The Aqua is always my first choice, with Bestie second, and Magic Stick is the one I use when I can't find my other two. However, Magic Stick would be second place, but the handle has a rough texture from the sparkle, so it doesn't feel nice to use after a while which is a shame. The Magic Stick brush is fantastic.

Then you should get some monomer. We have small trial kits/sample kits available. Where you just get a small bottle. You could wash with warm water and a mild soap and let air dry. But eventually you will need to saturate it and use with monomer/nail liquid as that is it’s intended purpose 💜🫶🏼
