In the previous videos, I have shown the beginning of Extreme Winter Spiti Expedition January 2022 wherein I along with my friends Shashank and Mehar started from Delhi and travelled to Narkanda. We encountered beautiful landscapes and people of Haryana, Punjab, Shimla, Kufri and Narkanda. We stayed at a local homestay in Narkanda which had no name and was run by a local.
The next day, we started from Narkanda in the morning. Soon after we started we encountered Back Ice for the first time and one of our riders slipped on it. We proceeded further with caution and reached Reckong Peo at night enjoying the route from Narkanda to Rampur to Kinnaur (Kinnaur Gate) and finally Reckong Peo. It was a fun and adventure filled day.
The next day, we started our day from Reckong Peo and travelled to Chango via Spillow, Pooh, Dubling, Nako, Maling Nalah and finally Chango. We encountered heavy snowfall throughout our day. The way beyond Nako was very tricky, risky and adventurous. I have divided this Episode in 2 parts. This is the second part starting from Khab Sangam. We rode in heavy snowfall uptil Nako where we had our lunch break at Somang Dhaba. By the time we started again after the lunch, everything was covered in white snow. The most tricky part of the route started after Maling Nala. The roads were covered with ice and black ice. We finally managed to reach Chango at night and stayed there. We had several near death encounters on the way.
In this video, I have shown our journey from Chango to Kaza wherein we crossed Sumdo, Tabo, Poh and many other beautiful villages and scenic landscapes of Spiti Valley. We finally managed to reach Lidang at night and visited Kaza the next day. At Kaza we visited the World's Highest Royal Enfield Service Centre and World's Highest Petrol Pump. Later, we came back to Lidang and again stayed overnight and did some night sky photography of Spiti Valley.
