    Awesome docs. The underlying issue is this wood should be staying here in Aotearoa and put into some houses here, which is a carbon sink. The wood could be processed through gasification to produce energy and biochar. There are pyrolysis machines that create biocoal and a bunch of high value carbon biochar products, etc.

    Shocking. I remember being down there NY eve 2000 at Te Kaha and seeing a lot of wood on the beach. I had no idea until the storm recently. I hope industry cleans it up 😊
